Is okay but to have to be quiet at 10:00 pm and at weekends that no body works it sucks.for that is better stay home and keep your money in your pocket. I like more prospects mountain β°οΈ there every body talks and laugh π have fun is not a boring place to be Even though you only have a pool but is better ,

Wonderful quiet and well maintained camp grounds. Beautiful beach and lake perfect for kayaking.

We stopped to take a look around. 1st problem. You can only pay for parking with yodel and yodel is only comparable with iPhone. No cash accepted. 2ed problem. Because we planed on staying about 10 minutes and we did not want to download the app on my iPhone until we knew for sure we needed it we asked at the entrance sheβd if we could drive in, look and come back to the shed. We are in our mid 60s. The lady was nasty rude and condescending. She let us through but treated us like we were thrives stealing her peanuts. Omg! In addition she never informed us about the residential senior life time pass to ALL state parks in Massachusetts. We found it on line next day. Very disappointed in the treatment from her.

Yes it's a state park it's open https://www.mass.gov/locations/daughters-of-the-american-revolution-dar-state-forest
Yes, there's a restroom/changing area near the public beach. Make sure to check that the beaches are open. They have been closed due to bacteria but may be re-opened
It does seem to be free this year. I've been several times and have not been charged. It's definitely free after 6 pm, but I think this summer it is free at all times.
I have already seen people swimming this year.
Just open campsites I recommend bringing a camper if you don't wanna tent.
There is a pavillion across the road from the lake, don't know what the cost is, we go there annually. Best to call for availability.
Otherwise you just pay at the gate to hike or use the tiny beach.
DAR forest is open from sunrise till sunset. I didn't see any specific time for upper lake when I visited. I hiked around the lake and left by 6pm. I am not sure about the hours for using motor boats there.
A very large hockey rink shaped pond. Non descript kayaking but putting around trolling a lure for trout in the evening would be the bomb
You can call the park or go to the D A R website
