There is a parking space along a long, somewhat uneven gravel road. Parking is limited and there are only a few outdated picnic tables with benches (though I would not). The vast, well-lit walkways are lovely, and the enormous, arched trees are stunning. a lot of green. Several stinging or biting insects, and snakes should always be avoided (saw a medium one crossing the path ahead of me). Like cardinals, there are many small birds that fly around. The hiking trail intersects with two other paths that lead to different locations (one with a marsh). Long trails are fantastic, but remember to pack drink and wear sturdy footwear because the path may contain rocks and roots. Good for biking and walking dogs, probably.

Awesome place to go and drive on the beach. You do have to pay to drive on the beach at the gate. They also offer cool tent sites for camping. Waves aren’t too rough. I found 100s of sharks teeth here on the shore.

Dogs are welcome for camping, but you are NOT allowed to take your dog on the beach. I was asked to leave once because we had our family dog! They would not refund our money and we just entered the park! $$$

No camp grounds in this area. 3 miles to Hannah park. Camping is available there.

I think that you can talk with the administration and request a permit for that.
A rule of thumb in Florida: If there is a body of water, there is an alligator. But like John said, "They are more afraid of you!" I have seen thousands of gators in my lifetime, whether hiking, biking or kayaking and I have never had a negative experience. Have fun!
