Beware of the old woman caretaker there, she needs serious training in customer service and the way she speaks to people. Clearly she has nothing better to do with her time than look for small infractions to hassle people about. I can see others have had similar experiences from past reviews- too bad, a peaceful time otherwise.

I've been camping there for over 40 years. I love the 2 rivers and cool weather. I go to other camps also but try to go here once a season.

I do love this place. Scenic and peaceful river sites on the island and the berry patch. Many fun trips. Staff is friendly but strict about little things. Bathrooms near sites are still stuck in the 80's but clean. Fireplaces are hit or miss..wish they would pave around the entrance tho, the potholes get worse every year.

This is one of our favorite ADK campsites. Modest but well maintained. The roads are wide enough to accommodate our RV. The fire pits are in good condition. The white noise of the river makes for the best nights sleep. We love it here!
