Beautiful and clean place to take my almost 3 year old for the first time. It was nice to have the trail going all around for walks away from traffic. It was nice to have the playgrounds but only the one in the day pass area is worth it for kids 5+. Finally found the swimming hole other campers were using. Definitely a “swim at your own risk” situation as it’s not a designated area. Although the buildings are modeled after the old west I was disappointed that nothing of the old Frontier Town remains except the name and location. Definitely on my “go again” list but won’t become my go to campground.

The best there is in State Campgrounds. Sites are very spacious and private. Gravel to avoid mud and rain, full hookups along with modern clean bathrooms and showers. Very peaceful and relaxing.
