Location, Location, Location! Staying in Yosemite valley is by far the best place to have a home base for exploring Yosemite National Park and this campground is pretty much as good as it gets. The trailheads for Vernal/Nevada Falls and Mirror Lake are located within a 5 minute walk and there is a dedicated shuttle stop for the campground. Each site has a fire pit, bear box, picnic table and room for two vehicles to be parked on the pavement. While the sites are decently large they are also close together with no privacy which is unfortunate. Reception is pretty bad with only 1 bar Verizon but you can easily take the shuttle to Yosemite Village if you need to get on the internet. Overall if you are lucky enough to snag a reservation (they sell out basically instantaneously) this is a great option for your stay while exploring Yosemite.

I was in spot 135 in Upper Pines. The problem with this campground is the sites are too close together. Noisy neighbors can feel like they are right next to you. Spot 135 is fairly good, but if it's hot and sunny there isn't much shade. Also, people tend to cut through your campsite going to the restroom which is right next to it.

One of the best campgrounds in Yosemite. The view is just marvelous. There are lots of birds around too More photos instagram @fsk_photoz

It is one of the best camping experience I’ve had. Campsites in Yosemite are just really difficult to reserve but someone canceled theirs and I got lucky to book it for two night. Wish I could have stayed longer

There's no tent limit..only 6 people and 2 car as a limit. Thanks
Anytime. But the campsite area is not available till 12pm.. so you risk not having a parking space until the site is empty
No hookups at all
Yes. Been twice in a Bounder 35. Need to "camp" on the reservation web site when it opens up tho.
The curry village convenience store sells firewood
Yes. Recreation.gov. You can't enter Yosemite without reservations.
Yes. Open all year in Upper Pines.
Yes.
Yes, but you MUST have a reservation, max trailer length 24' due to limited turning radius. North Pines has 6 sites up to 35' but driving in the park can be tricky with one that long.
Yes there is.
12pm
I do not think they have any campground with full hookup inside Yosemite.
Try calling them to find out very nice place

My guess is that the two are essentially the same.
If you are coming during the summer, there are several campgrounds throughout the park which are 1st come 1st serve. If you are backpacking, there are also backpackers campgrounds - including one in the Valley.
You can. There's a clipboard at the entrance for late check-in sign-in.
Yosemite is typically open every day each year. Reservations for Upper Pines campground can be made online. Off season (off weekends) one might be able to find an open spot if you're willing to risk not reserving a camp spot ahead of time.
Yes
Elevation is around 4000m there.. Weather is depending, but expect cold low temps. At least in the low 30s at night
Yes. You're booking a site. I had people in tents next to me last time.
Housekeeping Camp and Half Dome Village. Which is closer depends on your starting point, especially if riding the free shuttle bus.
14 days is the max time in a national park
I don't remember exactly what I paid last year, but it wasn't more than $36. Make sure to make your reservation as soon as they make the reservations available, which is usually 6 months out. Otherwise you may not get anything, especially if it's during peak season. And even off-season they sell out quickly, within days
Yes
Yes there is. Enjoy.
