Only if there is availability or you have a tent site reserved. The best way to get a trnt site is to arrive early in the morning at wait outside the ranger office to see if there are any sites available from cancellations.

I would feel very comfortable leaving my campground unattended and returning feeling there wouldn't be any disruption. Not to say crime would never happen here, but it's a very safe campground and area in general.

Dogs are not allowed on hiking trails. They are allowed on all the paved paths in the park

If there are vacancies you can make one at that time. Normally a five month advance reservation for Yosemite Valley campground is required. This is done on the 15th of each month.
