No after five year of being on probation this includes the time on probation so from the day you first got on probation let me break it down like this if I got released from jail and I got probation and I got called for section 8 3 years later and I have a 5-year probation I cannot get on housing or assistance if I got probation 5 years ago and I just got off I I can get it if I'm on probation for 3 years and section 8 calls me 2 years after I've gotten off of probation which is a total of 5 years I am still eligible for it so as long as you're within the 5-year period of probation it whether you're on it or off it they will not accept you on the program but if you got off the day before they called you or the day after and it's been five years since you got on probation then you will be accepted into the program so you don't have to wait 5 years after you get off probation just 5 years from the day you got probation and not be on probation when they call you I hope that's clear enough
