Great venue for a play. Clyde's very good play
Barbara DeLaney
We thoroughly enjoyed the performance of “Clyde’s” on Sun, Sept 18. The play is funny, thought provoking, and timely. So very happy to have had the opportunity to see it performed at the Goodman Theater.

Great atmosphere. Cozy theater and accommodations for Handicap. Love the Goodman

We've enjoyed a number of productions at Goodman. Each one has been inspiring and memorable! The Albert Theater, which seats about 850, is a more traditional theater style in terms of staging, curtains, and seating. Great acoustics, even in the balcony. We especially LOVED the "Brigadoon" production we saw several years ago. The Owen Theater, which seats about 350, is a more contemporary and flexible venue. Intimate space with a close-up feel to the performance. Open seating in stiff chairs. Good acoustics on all sides. We especially LOVED the performances of "The Magic Play" and "The King of the Yees." We have driven in from the suburbs every time because we had an elderly person in our group. Found parking easily just around the corner in parking garage. When it's just the two of us, we will make the pleasant 25-minute walk from the Metra Station. We look forward to returning to both venues soon!

It's a little over a mile. It will be about a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute Uber!

It was wonderful.
We are no longer affiliated with a drama school. In 1978, the theater divested itself of the Goodman School, which was acquired by DePaul University and is now known as The Theatre School at DePaul University.
The guides are correct! At one time the Goodman Theatre was housed within the Art Institute of Chicago. We moved to our location on Dearborn and Randolph in 2001. The space we formerly occupied at the Art Institute is now where the Modern Wing is located. In fact there is a plaque marking center stage of the old space in the Modern Wing.

No. Parking lot across the street. But it's pricey.
Similar to an airplane seat where you can lift the armrest up.

You can pre purchase parking through the Goodman website for a garage around the corner from them. I've done it multiple times and it seems to be the cheapest option.
Just under 2 hrs.
