I was traveling all the way from San Diego and just happened upon this reserve. I had really hoped to visit the Visiting Center to but it was closed. Thursday around noon. People were going in and out with a key so I thought maybe they just opened late but there was a closed sign. Maybe I'll get this way again someday.

This is a quiet little reserve with very accessible gravel trails, perfect for bird watching at certain times of the year. If you're looking for a place to casually stroll with some pleasant scenery and access to a variety of bird species, this is a great spot to stop, bring a lunch, and have a bite.
