The guard on duty said the closure could be extended due to 4 different endangered species now nesting there.
You absolutely can drive a 4 wd on the beach, after I believe September 1st and by paying long Beach twp a $50 "beach buggy" permit.
Small section of beach is open. The rest is closed for nesting season.
