You absolutely can drive a 4 wd on the beach, after I believe September 1st and by paying long Beach twp a $50 "beach buggy" permit.

Can't do during the summer. This beach is a wildlife refuge and some type of special bird nests there. You can't really even walk on it. There are barricades and signs about it. I believe you can in the off season. Check with Long Beach Township.

I don't believe so, only the lifeguards can drive on the beach.
