Just off highway. Nice hiking trails through evergreen forest.

This is very nice (close to a lot of business, may not be the best for nature enthusiasts). The trails are wide and you can push a stroller with ease most parts. 😀 I'd plan during 9/15 to 1/1 to wear BLAZING Orange, per the DNR recommendations because it's deer season on the preserve. Out of town folks: it's muggy and buggy during warm seasons so plan accordingly! No bathrooms or trashcans.

Nice area it typical of SC wildlife refuges no restrooms or porta potties.

Didn't end up going in as it's during deer season and International Orange apparel was required. That's in effect 9/15-1/1. Good to know before you go.
