It's not easy fixing eyes. They are very good at it.

I must share about my Dog, Sassie, an Australian Shephard. She had problems with her vision. This was 10 yrs ago, or so. Dr. Jurk was the most professional person, and caring of Doctors i have ever seen, all i could think of was what a wonderful doctor i found. And the only Dr. at the time that would test for eye vision at the time. She found my Dog Sassie, had only 10% vision in the right eye, and 25% in the Left, which made me so sad as i really loved my Sassie! She was an Australian Shephard black and white, was beautiful and very very close to me, there has never been a dog like her! thank you again Dr. Jurk for everything you've did for Sassie, and now i have a part border Collie, and part Australian Shephard Dog, named Brodie.;o) soon, his time is coming, but i will never forget Dr. Jurk, the Kindness, and everything about her. Thank you! Lise

My experience with Animal Eye Care of New England took a nose dive the last time I visited for an appointment with my dog for follow up cataract. Dr Jurk was not the doctor that was scheduled for us, she was not on the premises. i waited almost a total of 2 hours in the hot sun in my car after arriving and calling the office with my contact info. I gave them my cell phone number and make of my car. I did not receive any phone contact during this time. When I needed to use the restroom, I went to the door and though there were staff at the desk they ignored my presence at the door. When the next appointment was called I asked them when their appointment was scheduled and it was after our appointment. The young man who came out to assist this patient was incredibly rude to me when I told him about my appointment time. I told him it was stressful for my dog waiting in the heat for so long. He said I do not even know who you are. I said I was a patient who had an appointment before the one he was taking in. He said if I was stressed, I should be inside and know how stressful things were in there. He said he would call me soon. Another patient was then called, again with a later appointment than my scheduled time. I had to leave due to an other scheduled appointment and total had spent 4 hours waiting and traveling. The rudeness and reference to stress inside resulted in my choosing another practice, 3 1/2 hours from my home. I called multiple times and asked that Dr Jurk call me. There has been no follow through.

I was impressed from the first phone call. When we arrived the (COVID) process was well organized, everyone I spoke to was took the time to explain the process, keep me informed and answered all my questions. This is how a professional office should be run. We arrived prepared that Mickey would lose an eye due to a mass on his eye lid. Dr Jurk . took the time to explain our options and make her recommendations. WOW is all I can say- the stitches came out today and you would never know he has surgery the eyelid is perfect and he still has two of the prettiest blue eyes. I would recommend Dr. Jurk and her staff to anyone in need of eye-care for their pet.

I would call them first thing Monday morning, my experience is they do most of their appointments by drop off. Even with their drop-off appointments they schedule a couple of weeks out. I would also recommend in the meantime if you haven't already done it, to bring the pup into see your primary veterinarian. It's also possible they may be able to get you scheduled sooner.

Hi there they are not a 24-hour animal hospital. It's by appointment only and I believe they are only open 8:00 to 5:00 Monday through Friday. The facility is run by Dr Isabel Jurk, the J is silent. It takes a while to get an appointment there because she's the only veterinary ophthalmologist around unless your vet can call them and they can squeeze you in. We've been there a few times because our dog is blind but has glaucoma in one eye and it has to be removed plus they're going to do cataract surgery at the end of October. Call your vet first thing Monday morning. Good luck with everything 😊🙏

I am trying to find out if I need to keep my dog Harlee on the eye medicine prescribed for her for a "melting ulcer"? I have left two messages and have not received a call or message. Her appt was cancelled due to staff being positive for Covid.

I just let the phone ring about 18 times. It’s 2020 and there’s no answering service or machine here?

There is voice mail, but if there is someone leaving a message in front of you, or all lines are busy, the phone system may not bump you into it.
