Overall, a nice place to stay. Staff are friendly, but our ice maker didn't work in the refrigerator. We called to report it and were told maintenance would be up later that day...but they never showed over the course of the 3-day stay. Another quirk was that the dresser drawers would not stay shut. Once closed, they slowly slide back open. I bumped my thigh a couple times on an open drawer in the middle of the night when getting up out of bed.

One of my "go to" choices when traveling in this area. I get preferred rates, a spacious room with a comfortable bed each time. There are a couple of caveats : the kitchen was not fully stocked this time (no jug in the coffee maker, toaster needed cleaning, trash bags tissue-paper thin), but these are often quickly corrected. Great location, with shopping and decent restaurants nearby.

The front staff was not friendly and the worst customer service skills we have experienced in a long time. They tried to keep us in a room where the door key reader had a low battery and we could not get access to our room.. when I advocated that we need another room where there is a working door battery..I was met with a very rude glare and reluctantly given my request. All on the same visit, when we checked out, I realized I left my expensive facial wash in the room about 4 hours later I called. I took responsibility, house keeping did not turn it in, they refused to look, and no follow up call. We will not be returning to this location due to poor customer service skills and lack of honesty from the staff.

The hotel is nicely laid out and in good condition. Our room was comfortable, fairly quiet, clean, and pet friendly, although a bit pricey (the room and the pet). Free YouTube TV app was a plus. The free buffet breakfast was very limited but adequate and the server was very nice. We took a nice walk in the neighborhood and felt very safe. We were disappointed that the whirlpool was not open. Lots of free parking. All of the staff were courteous, friendly, and helpful. The location of the hotel is excellent as it is close to downtown Pleasant Hill, Concord, and Walnut Creek, where we found great restaurants and lots of shopping. We would stay here again.
