Probably still can't get much from the little government princesses at any dmv office. I was fined 100 dollars for not turning in my license plates while the offices were CLOSED since the beginning of the pandemic and I was unable to get in there, they didn't accept appointments, and I couldn't even get them by phone. Meanwhile, I am a senior who works in a grocery store where I am exposed to the virus Every. Single. Day. but still have to come to work. DMV is no less essential than grocery store workers - you can't go anywhere in this state without a legal vehicle. Must be nice to have privilege.

You can just have to get there by 7 am.

No only at regional offices such as Eatontown, Trenton but trying to pat it is insane they give out numbers for walk ins so good luck it took me a month and 3 different DMV. Total nightmare

Just go on the website and you'll have to find the best date for you that's all. I had to wait 3 weeks for an appointment. Please make sure when you do go you have all your paperwork. I didn't so they gave me a slip of paper to come back within 5 days before 1:00. Staff there was very friendly and helpful.

You have to have an appointment, when you go there do stand put front on the sidewalk closer to your time frame because the cop will come out and call soany at a time by name. You show your license and he let's you in. Lakewood location is only doing registration, registration renewal and plates. Of you need to surrender plates there's a drop box outside the door you don't need an appointment for that.

If it can/will be driven on road yes, you can always call and make sure. Better to be safe then sorry

Yes you can obtain a NJ license and registration for your vehicle but to do so check online which branch is closet for each service as each branch is either liscenes & permits or titles & registration. Also plan to have the whole day to dedicate as you will need to arrive and obtain a number and time frame to return, if not there since like 5 or 6 am.

The 1st text is to register the number. If you receive a second text from them they will notify you to come in and give you a window to do so. If you do not receive the 2nd text just go off the time on the back of the number

If they are open just like Vito pecoraro said 5am or earlier. You will not be alone trust me on that some people arrive the day before when I went. Bring a chair a comfy one. If I'm not mistaken, they give tickets out a hour before they open. The line will wrap around the building. You will probably sent home to come back. The earlier you go the earlier the earlier you come back. Also IF YOU DON'T NEED PHYSICAL PLATES DO IT ONLINE.

Lakewood does Registration and Title only. Get there before 7 am. Toms River does License only. Not sure about the time, but best guess is to be there very early. If you go to the wrong one, they will not help you and you wasted the day. Go onto the MVC website to confirm which agency does what until further notice.

You need to get there before 8 AM to get a ticket. Once you get a ticket, they take your cell phone number and you'll get text messages letting you know when it is your turn to go inside. If you just show up, the chances of getting inside are very low. Lakewood only does Vehicle Registration and Title. Toms River only does Driver's License. You go to the wrong place and you'll have wasted your time and will need to go to the correct place the next day.
