I made a car reservation for a standard suv, 4 days in advanced. I received a PICK UP TRUCK. not a small pick up truck but a FORD F152!!! I am 5 ' 4" so I was not able to drive that truck. Unfortunately I had to take it cause I had an emergency , I made the reservation for 3 days but instead I return it next day morning and paid $63 for a truck that I used 2 hours. I called customer service they said theres nothing I could do, it was my decision if I wanted that car or not, they didnt even try to accommodate me at another location. But I had to ask what if I make a new reservation at another location and dropp off this vehicle there, they said it was fine so I made a new reservation for a standard car this time since I didnt want to go thru the same issue. The agent confirmed they have a lot of cars available . Next day in the morning I go drop off the pick up truck to pick up the other standar car and they told me they didnt have any cars available at all, the only car available is the pick up truck that I was going to drop off. I had to get a car at another company and paid 3 times the price since it was last minute. I dont know why Budget allows me to make a reservation to a specific car and then gives me whatever they have available. It happened TWICE in 2 days. Making a reservation is to keep the specific vehicle I requested on that specific date and time!! This happened in 2 different locations which means its an issue with BUDGET not specific location. I rent a car every week and from now on I dont trust BUDGET anymore, Im afraid this will happen again.

Call Avis customer support and open a case... They will give you an email you can send a receipt to and wait for them to respond to reply... Could take up to 5-7 days.
