Bexley at Preston Apartments

The Bexley upcharges your rent every year. This year they upcharged my rent by $500 and made the excuse that they are basing price on market conditions but the Bexley is behind the market in terms of outdated amenities, interiors, and appliances. The market is evolving and modernizing while the Bexley has stayed the same for several years but insists on charging more each year.. If you take a tour, you can see that they are behind on pest control as well. There's bugs everywhere and you can see what I mean by looking inside the dead-bug infested stairwells. People also leave trash everywhere and it stays there for long periods of time. We pay for trash services. Their customer service dismisses criticism, bad reviews, and concerns instead of addressing the problems. There are a ton of new appartments everywhere that charges less and are more modern. (If they claim that I am not a real tenant, my response is that I am but I am going by a different name.)

I'm having an ongoing issue with my trash pickup and have contacted the contractor, Valet Living Trash, numerous times only to be directed to voicemail each time. I put my trash out in the provided trash can by the designated time and more often than not, it is not picked up. I've contacted the management team here each time only to be told I need to contact Valet Living. It's apparent that this matter is not being addressed. In addition, the rules for valet trash are not being followed (trash cans are left out all day everyday, trash bags put out without trash cans and left for days) and the result is roaches in the stairwells and an unsightly appearance for a complex such as this.

New management is great! I've lived here for 3 years now & they've really stepped up their hospitality game with residential events. The maintenance crew is personable & genuinely care about getting things done in a timely manner with consideration of when you're available (which is nice for us, we have a dog). Love all the landscaping around here, too, so many pretty flowers & trees.

My daughter and I visited the complex from out of state because I’m considering relocating. The property was beautiful and the 2 bedroom was huge! The patio was to die for! In addition to the pleasurable atmosphere, we were shown the apartment & all of the amenities by Will. Will was professional, yet personable and it was really appreciated. He was knowledgeable and my daughter and I both enjoyed talking with him on a professional level and a personal level. This move is huge for us and Will made us extremely comfortable and it was a great feeling especially being in a city where we know no one. Thank you Will! Your encouraging words were really heartfelt! :-)
