This trail is magical. I recommend going early in the morning when the sun shines through the most in the trees. The path is generally very flat and not too long but there are so many beautiful trees to see. It's a nice little escape in the redwoods! Very much worth a stop!

This grove was spectacular. Every single large redwood (so, like all of them) felt like the biggest redwood I've ever seen. I was awestruck by the absolute size of these. The hike is an easy one, not much elevation change. My wife and I just went to the Lady Bird dedication site and back to the parkinglot and I think it was a mile or so total. Definitely recommend this as a stop.

Highly recommended. If you only have time for ONE trail to experience the magnificent of coastal redwood forest, do this one. Tall original growth coastal redwoods on top, tan oaks as lower canopy, with magnificent native Rhododendron just above your head and lush carpet of ferns spreading on and on. Easy access to the parking lot by small vehicles, trails are relatively wide and flat but can be very muddy since this area is constantly enclosed by thick fogs. And, no pets.

Every visitor should take this short stroll among the Old Growth Redwoods that inspired the founding of the National Park. The enormity of these giant redwood trees is truly humbling and the experience will bring tears to your eyes. So quiet, so peaceful, and so awe inspiring.
