What a gorgeous park right on the lake! You can enjoy a breathtakingly beautiful ride around the lake or you can park and go down by the water. They have campsites too, but I believe they offer no electricity or hookups. We come often and have a relaxing time.

We must have really liked the state park because it was pretty chilly for the time of year, and there was a strong prevailing wind. It even rained on Saturday night and was in the 50s and we still really loved it. It's a very picturesque State Park just across from a large lake with easy access to a small Lakefront Beach but more importantly the larger Lake for Paddlesports kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. Also noticed many people fishing from Shore, and nothing to stop you fishing from a boat. It was very quiet, with clean bathrooms oh, they have ample supplies of wood and the wood kits included fire starters which we have never seen before. There's a small Camp store there that has a grill and makes good coffee in the morning as well as breakfast items and lunch and dinner items like sandwiches to go. They also have slushies and a few supplies for things you may have forgotten. Overall a very nice place.

Beautiful, peaceful area. Lots of geese and everything that goes with them, but still relaxing. Great little winery - Hopkins Vinyard - has free live music from time to time ...families sitting on the hillside to enjoy it. Hopkins Inn food is excellent!

Lake Waramaug is a gem! It's definitely worth visiting if you're driving through northwestern CT.

Yes there is a big bathroom were you can change in the parking lot right next to the beach area. There is also a small snack shop very close to the beach.
Yes, camping & cabins at Lake Waramaug State Park, lodging at Hopkins Inn & Airbnbs on or near lake.
The Cabins are part of the campground at the Park. In short, they are usually very sought after and booked months in advance, especially on the weekends. You can reserve them or other sites through Reserve America, a service ct state parks used for camping reservations.
Most parks allows guest until 10:00PM
Usual State rules apply if its motorized, including electric propulsion, then it needs to be registered. Paddles only, no worries. There is a boat launch ramp at the other end of the lake but there's all sorts of restrictions on its use. The park is okay with carry-down vessels being launched by hand from the canoe rental area. Just try not to get in the way of that operation.
