Very bad experience, due to the bureaucracy directed by this system of consular government, short story, I am Cuban with American and Chilean citizenship, and I went with an appointment for my son who is Chilean, but has his American citizenship, to get his passport, not because he needs it, only for when he travels to Chile to see his Grandparents he has it extra, since he has his US passport, because in the requirements they do not give the information well, and on the web it only says that with his US passport It's enough, in the end they didn't want to do it to him because according to them he had already had a Chilean passport, and he should present it, but obviously he didn't take it, just present his USA passport, as he said in his information and it didn't occur to me to take the Chilean one when he was a child, but according to their bureaucratic protocol, he had to go another day, and bring his previous Chilean passport, in the end they couldn't do the paperwork for him being Chilean by birth, but clearly these people don't seem to work enough, they make you miss the morning, they never answer the phone, if you want to cancel the appointment, and they never give or send the information correctly, in short, we will carry out the process later, since my son is within his rights, but they are very bad at working with all his politics and left government of Boric, so they are on a very good path, their attention is so bad, AND I TOLD THEM VERY CLEAR🤬

They never answer the phone or your emails here. In the 30 plus years I've been in the States, I've never experienced customer service so lackluster.
This is absolutely terrible. But leave it to the Chileans abroad to treat their people like second class citizens.

First, why do you have to ask for permission?
Second, what visa does he have?
Third, if I enter with a visa waiver, I can leave and I imagine that when I return the visa continues.
The easiest thing is to go to any airport there is an immigration office and they will give you an answer, and the steps to follow
You must call by phone and ask for an appointment and they notify you when they will receive you, I am very sorry for what you are going through,

Hello, we are on vacation in Miami with my family and we wanted to know if we can vote here for the 2021 presidential elections in Chile.
rolando patricio aragon escobar | Dec 20, 2021
Natalie Muñoz | Dec 20, 2021
Hi Rolando, if you have not previously registered to vote in Miami, you sadly cannot.
Greetings!
All Chilean men and women residing abroad, who meet the requirements, can request a change of electoral address to their country of residence, on the dates established by SERVEL.
The change of electoral address can be done online with the Clave Única or in person at the consulate, according to local health restrictions.
For this, the interested parties must be registered in the definitive electoral roll of Chileans abroad.
Each country that has a Chilean consulate will have an electoral board that will be chaired by the respective consul.
During 2021 there will be three electoral processes in which Chileans abroad will be able to participate: presidential primaries (July 18), presidential election (November 21) and a possible second vote (December 19).
Please, I need you to inform me what I can do, my son arrived yesterday to visit me here in Miami and he lost his identity card. His stay here is only for two weeks. I want you to guide me what I can do in this case.
