I really hope dr.Shumate sees this review. My mom Sharon Black passed away back in 2014. And dr.Shumate was her pcp. He was such an amazing and caring doctor to her. I still miss her very much. Dr.Shumate I really want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking good care of my mom while she was sick. You’re whole office is amazing. The day after she passed they all gave us a bunch of gift cards for fast food places. And I’m not sure if Cindy still works there but she was so nice and really cared deeply. They were all so sad when they found out she passed. I felt so horrible for dr.Shumate. He was so heartbroken when he found out it was really hard on him. Dr.Shumate I cannot thank you guys enough for everything you have done for my mom. She loved you guys so much. I 100% HIGHLY recommend this place

Dr.Shumate is an amazing Doctor. I have been going to him for the last 7 years. He takes his time with you. H e make sure you understand what he is saying and talk about a very caring Doctor. He is the best. He has helped me out with so many things. He isn’t like any Doctor that I have even gone to before. Believe me. You will be very very happy with Dr.Shumate. I have had so many health problems and Dr.Shumate has helped me with everything. So if you want a great Doctor look no further. Dr.Shumate is the best of the best. My mother in law just moved here. And I told her about Dr.Shumate, she was so happy with him. My mother said n law gave me a very big hug. And truly couldn’t thank me enough. She said, her words, he is wonderful I love him. She was very very happy to have a Doctor that listens to what she has to say. And took the time with her. And did amazing with her. She said wow I can’t thank you enough for letting me know about your Doctor. I get be him 5 stars but if I could give more I would. I couldn’t be happier that I have Dr. Shumate as my Doctor. I will never leave his office. I never had a more caring and understanding and truly gets things done. You will never find a smarter caring , and best bed side matter. 👋😀👍👨🏻‍⚕️

Rushed my appointment. Didn't order the blood work for what was the main reason I went for. Just didn't feel like he cared or could be bothered to actually talk to me. Stood the whole time and felt like he was just waiting for the first chance to bolt out the door

Dealing with some pretty rough stuff so I tried getting an appointment here to get some help. The day before my first appointment I get a call that Dr. Shumate is no longer coming in tomorrow so I'd have to reschedule. To someone seeking help, that was pretty hard to take. I was excited to finally get some relief and now I had to wait again. Anyway, I rescheduled for a day over half a month later, now more than a month from the day I first called to get an appointment, just to be called AGAIN again about an hour before my appointment and be told that I'd have to reschedule because this guy wasn't coming in again. I was told the rest of the month was booked up and I'd have to wait untill he had an opening again which would be sometime next month which is AT LEAST two more weeks away. I said forget it. This is extremely unreliable and unprofessional. I would STRONGLY advise you NOT go here if you're dealing with anything crucial like I am. Go anywhere else. I'm sure there's plenty of other practices around Jacksonville or even outside Jacksonville that would be much more reliable. It doesn't matter how good or bad this guy is if you can't even get in to see him so please bypass the reviews talking about his good credibility and realize there's a likely chance you'll have to reschedule and won't ever even be able to get in to see it for yourself. Or think "Oh, this isn't likely to happen to me," and take the chance thinking you'll get in, call, make an appointment, and then be let down to. But I'd just be safe and try somewhere else.
