It’s a beautiful Secret
I am in desperate need of a brain and Cspine MRI. My doctor gave me an order for this procedure but I require a special type of MRI machine which Coastal diagnostics has at their location. I am uninsured but as a self-pay patient I pay all of my medical bills by myself and have never been late on any payment plans that have been set up for me and have paid many of my accounts as fast as possible I was referred by the original place I was due to have my MRI who had me all set up on an excellent payment plan however they didn’t have the type of MRI machine I require that they referred me to this place When I called and I called twice to double check each of the women I spoke to told me they would not help set up a payment plan that the entire amount was due at the time of the MRI which would amount to $2400 Both of the women didn’t even attempt to try to help me knowing I was in a situation where I really needed this MRI. They didn’t have an ounce of empathy at all. Every other place I called was more than happy to help me with a payment plan but Coastal Diagnostics Imaging is the only one that has the machine I need and they flat out refused to help me. This was not only distressing but it truly broke my heart and I feel that someone should’ve had some compassion to try to see what can be done. Coastal is within miles of where I live which is extremely helpful as I cannot travel far due to my illness and in addition I care for my mate who is a Combat Wounded Marine so I cannot be too far from home I won’t have insurance till next year but need this MRI asap It’s heartbreaking that help is a few miles away but I’m unable to get that help. I had a mamogram done Friday which was very painful on one side. It's Tuesday and I'm still in bad pain in my chest,can't even sleep.i called them to get blown off and told to see my doctor.so after they hurt me.i have to pay for the doctor? I will never go back there.they are too rough with there patients

Yes, we accept Medicaid and Medicare. We accept all insurances, Care Credit, have self-pay rates, and are a preferred Tricare provider.
As stated in a previous answer, we combine the charge for the MRI scan and the radiologist reading. Please contact our management directly if you have additional questions about your bill. We would be glad to assist!
No, eastern NC doesn't have a stand up MRI, we do however have a true OPEN MRI
We globally bill for MRI services - this is a combined charge for the MRI and the radiologist reading fee. Most other places charge separately and the radiologist bill will be sent separately.
The cost of our high-field true Open MRI is the same as our conventional high-field MRI scanner.
