I had to stay in Boston so I could arrive for my scheduled surgery early on Tuesday morning. The front desk personnel was nice. However, when I went to go to sleep, the bed seemed as though there was absolutely no support. When you sat on the edge it felt like you were going to sit on the floor. I’m not a very big person so I can’t blame that. I moved the pillow to get it where I wanted and it was lumpy and soft. The two felt like they were 50 years old. The night sleep was the worst I’ve had in a hotel. The next morning I had to prepare for my surgery to remove cancer. I had to shower with antibacterial soap. I turned on the water and did not get hot water right away. I waited, still no hot water. Not even warm. Needless to say, it was the worst experience leading up to a my stressful day ahead. I had planned on staying overnight after my surgery but could not stand the thought of another rotten night. I told the attendant and he was less than sympathetic. Maybe it was the language barrier, I don’t know. I called and left a message for a member of management to call me. The persons name is Lisa, she never called. I received my credit card statement and it appears that I was charged for parking 2 times. I would never recommend staying at this location.

This hotel had some of the kindest employees ever. They were so incredibly helpful and accomodating and willing to go the extra mile for us in terms of check in and check out. The hotel room itself was very clean and spacious and exactly what we expected, and it was also really close to the Green Line which was awesome. Overall, I'd highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Boston!

Not impressed! Worn and semi broken fixtures. Almost impossible for handicapped access. Luggage carts were allinuse by staff for supplies. Very cold. Had to turnheat up to 78 because of drafts and bathroom was frigid unless we kept door open. Only one uncomfortable worn out desk chair. On the plus side, they do accept small dogs and did have a microwave im room, a rarity in Boston. Beds were comfortable and water was hot. Certainly could have been cleaner. Front desk checking in was helpful with answers but he seemed stoned. Next morning guy could barely speak english

We loved this hotel .. It was comfortable, clean, beautiful, nice bathroom, even smelled great. Unfortunately our room was the first off of the lobby, and completely unsound proofed. Guests in the lobby, front desk chatter, doors opening, other guests TVs, conversations, we heard it all. This made the comfortable bed completely irrelevant. The staff was incredibly accommodating and did the best they could to compensate and make the experience better, but not having sleep when our loved one was having a transplant the next day was frustrating to say the least. Absolutely choose this hotel - but not room 101!!

There is no public transportation near that hotel. From downtown Boston, you have to take a taxi, Uber, or Lyft to get there.

Is there a car rental place near by, in town. Not the airport.

No but if you bring them your clothes in a bag they provide they'll do it for you and bring it back to you

Yes it is an Ascend hotel. I highly recommend it. The staff are incredibly accommodating. The place is kept impeccably clean. The decor is tastefully modern industrial. We love using the gym. Everything about the hotel was wonderful!
