What's the difference between a certificate and a license? I was told by a Sacramento Sheriff officer, "I don't need the education to do the job you do." I hold a license as a Registered Dental Hygienist and recently graduated when he told me this. Can police officers do the work of. Registered Dental Hygienist with out the pre reqs, with out dental hygiene school or passing their boards? Was this a threat to take my identity? Thank you.

Most dentists are bad. I keep changing dentists more often than I change diapers. The board lets incompetent dentists take care of patients. They told me that a dentist failing to correctly place a crown is just SIMPLE NEGLIGENCE case closed. The board needs to be like the IRS when we don't pay our taxes, they are all over us. Board: Do your job and get rid of incompetent dentists. I want to give you 5 stars but you are not making it easy for me!!

Can take several months for them to look at the complaint, while the dentist continue to rip medical patients off. What a waste of time. It has been 2 months since I submitted my complaint.

Hurry time frame on civil action you may need, you will find some direction reaching out to you state assembly or senate constituents for the you district
Help just went a dental clinic that said they would put ozone in my tooth and e ery time said she would do it she never did not. Got infected. Help This was Sunnyvale dental group on west Fremont ave ,Sunnyvale ca. Run, Run do t go this office , pretend to be nice.

Your license doesn't transfer from state to state. You are actually requesting a license certification for that state to recognize that you held a California dental license with the required certifications. You will find the license cert at the Dental Board site: dbc.ca.gov Click the tab at top of site: Forms and Publications Scroll down to the main folder: Forms. Find the option that reads Dental Assistant License Certification. FYI: The state your transferring to may request a x ray certification also. I hope this helps!!!!!

Good evening Jenna, The needs a specific location where this person is operating, not to mention a complaint to act on. Unfortunately, the board receives an overwhelming number of complaints daily. They can only follow up on those violations that they receive complaints on, call it "low on manpower". I hope this helps at least a little. If you choose to file a complaint with helpful information to investigating this person, I'm sure they'll act accordingly. Good luck

Not sure about RDH, but RDA does not transfer.
That is not how it was. Many people had degrees but you could have went to just a regular accredited school and then taken your state boards. And actually you really didn't have to go to school if you had two years of experience on the job.
