Volunteering here is an excellent way to be a part of the community.

I enjoy volunteering here. They do a great job keeping you enjoying yourself while also being busy.

Do not do court ordered community service here. 10 out of 10 would absolutely not recommend. Unless you like being called stupid, enjoy getting hurt and treated like absolute garbage find somewhere else to volunteer. Im not sure why they treat volunteers differently from court ordered volunteers but they 100% do. The workers inside the actual warehouse will scream at you and the front desk people will as they say "test your knowledge" like its a game. I broke open my hands and pulled my shoulder here. Not worth it at all. Went back in to get a statement of my hours and they didnt even remember me. I wish I had seen a post like this before I started.

These people go above and beyond to make sure, no one goes hungry. At some point in all our lives, we have needed a hand up. The Tuesday drop on 2700 S Main Street, I stopped at to inquire. Several residents at my apt complex, barely can pay rent...they loaded my car and trunk to the hilt...and I brought it home, placing it in our Community Pantry. I also placed a notice, how those in need, were able to get this same amount of food. It was gone by the next day... The workers who loaded my car were pleasant, caring and respectful. Good job UFB!! We need more organizations that emulate you..what a better place the world would be, if that was to happen. Keep up the great work.

3175 south 3450 west. It is a church parking lot. Come early, like at 5 or 6 am. If it is full go to west lake jr high and park near the fence from the dumpster over. Someone will direct you. Come every Thursday and Saturday all you want. It is a drive through. You will be given a ticket and a piece of paper. Please follow instructions. But come early early. No ID is needed. No bills are needed just you and a smile please. I sure hope to see you there. Come every Thursday and Saturday. Go to Facebook page called Granger North Steak/Utah food distribution
Yes, I'm not sure who to talk to however if call the receptionist will direct your call to the correct person you tell them how many you think you'll need and we will deliver them. Thank you so much for helping. 🤗💗💙💚💛🧡💜🖤
Most likely yes. Its generally based on low income though, so just call.
You can talk to a case manager. They often have diapers.
There are many pantries throughout the salt lake area I think if you call 211 they can narrow them down to your location.
Call 211 and they can tell you exactly what you need ,there's even places you can go with no ID ,but that's my best answer the folks over at united way have access to a lot of services you might not no even are available,
You cannot pick up food here. This is only a distribution center for the centers that provide the food. However, food can be donated here.
How can I get help with food
Go to this web site and it should say. Granger north stake/Utah food distribution. I think it will be on Wednesday. Anyone is welcome. You can send a message and someone will get back to you.
85, the other 15 would go towards animal food
If you are looking for our mobile pantry, you will want to check our schedule here: https://www.utahfoodbank.org/programs/mobile-pantry/ Thank you!
Hi Melissa - Information about our Mobile Pantries can be found here: https://www.utahfoodbank.org/programs/mobile-pantry/
They don't give food at the food bank, there's Pantry's set up throughout the Valley to distribute. I know it sounds silly but the Food Bank is basically a storage for the Pantry's
No unfortunately because of health laws they would not be able to. That would be a wonderful and caring way to help though. Maybe if you have a local city food pantry, check if they would.
I am not sure if they aacept items like that. better to call and speak to a representative.
Yes you can pending on the offense. Call the office at 9am
Best to call
Yes. you can and we will direct you to the right pantries. This location is not a pantries. We are the warehouse that supplies the pantries. Also if you want to volunteer time or food you can come to us here
No, but you would need to contact them for information on where they offer free food drops.
"Utah Food Bank can stretch each $1 donated into $7.48 of goods and services." That quote is from their website and reflects what the told me when I volunteered. The majority of the food is donated, so the money goes to making sure they keep getting donations and in moving the food to where it needs to be.
Yes
8 pm yes i don't know what time they close tho. Call them - find out
You will need to locate a local pantry to get food. The food bank provides food to those pantries.
For canned food it is different than regular food. They seal it very very tight and doesn't oxygenate the way regular food does. My dad was in the Marines and he said asong as the can is not buldging, or has opened at a seam and been exposed to air, there really is no real expiration date. The preservatives that canned foods last a very very long time.
You can take donations to the Food Bank directly, they have a box inside the door at the volunteer entrance. You can also call them if you have questions.
I believe so. But I am not positive
I believe that there is a separate distribution centre. The location of which, I unfortunately do not know. If I find any more information I will let you know.
I'd be happy to accept any and all game meat you have.
