Sundown ranch rejected my youth daughter for services even though she is willing and meets criteria. The counselor misrepresented her dimension 4 of treatment acceptance/resistance on assessment and stated she needs level 5 care. She requires no medication stabilization for withdrawal symptoms. The only withdrawal symptoms she had were for nicotine in which I provided two packages of nicotine patches out-of-pocket to be administered to aid in this. We traveled over 3 hours to this facility and spent all day doing paperwork watching videos and assessments only to be turned away. This facility is absolutely incompetent and denies access to care and services based off judgement that a patient dressed too revealing. They don't care that a patient can be willing a parent is single and taking a leave of absence to get care for her child or that the cost of gas was very expensive to and from. Absolutely devastating and unacceptable. Sundown ranch and staff I will be following through with action and you will be required to answer in regard to this. fritz Wichterman you misrepresented her dimension 4 of treatment acceptance and lied about her level of care being a 5. She requires no medication stabilization for withdrawal symptoms. I have your license number and am making a report to the health board. I will not allow this kind of treatment with regard to my daughter. You will have to answer to this!

I had been to 3 other inpatient treatment centers back when I was using and didn't have much hope when I agreed to go to Sundown. How wrong I was. Such a clean, peaceful facility with people and staff that seem to genuinely care about patients. Always will recommend Sundown M. Ranch when asked for my opinion.

I called today I'm going tomorrow. Good luck!
You can't bring and home baked goods or energy drinks. No vapes or E-cigs but normal cigarettes are allowed. You arent allowed to use your phone.
Visiting hours are 12:30pm to 5pm Saturday and Sunday. There's also a family program in which you stay for 3 days 2 nights and attend family therapy and various meetings.
Sundown M Ranch is a 21-30 day program. The amount of time for your stay depends on your treatment plan and your own special individual needs.
Hmm... no hard no
Yes
Your detox facility should be helping you do that. Otherwise call Sundown yourself...maybe even try just showing up there.

All packages are opened under supervision and it's determined by the facility on if they are allowed post inspection. Nothing can have broken seals eg lotion

They do your laundry for you
How do you purchase a phone card
Yes
Get them a calling card to call you. They sell calling card at the facility
It is co Ed but the men and women aren’t allowed to fraternize, everything is kept separate. And the schedule is different everyday but you have something scheduled for every hour so there isn’t much down time. Hope this helps! Sundown saved my life for sure, good luck to you
Call admissions every day
Most people here go 29 days. Possibly a bit longer with some extentions but not 6 months. The program is so good though you would likely get just as much help in 1 month as most places give in 6
Yes I believe so they have nurses and dr and detox the place is great my daughter was not ready I hope she goes
I sincerely doubt it. You have to get an assessment to gauge your level of care needed.

All you can do is call and find out. If its an emergency I'm sure they'll take a mssg. 800-326-7444
Not sure if they have an adolescent unit, but calls are very limited, allowing recovery to be the real focus.
Yes...there are pay phones and phone cards sold from a machine in the coffee shop.
My stay was only 30 days, but the memory is forever!
Am not familiar with AS. Can you explain
They do technically accept Medicare (i.e. state insurance), but availability is extremely limited for those applying with it. If I remember correctly, they set a limit of how many area-specific patients are accepted from certain cities - basically, if the potential client is based out of King County, they're very unlikely to be accepted anytime soon. There are other options however for those who need Tx with state insurance, including SeaMar and Seadrunar, as well as a facility down in Olympia which I hear is extremely nice.
This is a highly rated facility and seems like you know nothing of what you speak of... patient in 2008
No
I don't know if you were able to get in or not, but if you're still interested, they offer a smoking cessation class. Best of luck to you.
