What a hidden gem! We've never had Afghan cuisine before and everything was flavorful and delicious. It's a small restaurant in an industrial/commercial part of the city and we were surprised how busy it was on a Sunday evening at 8pm. Must be because the food is amazing! The staff were friendly and attentive. Our food came very quickly - piping hot from the kitchen.

Possibly one of the best meals of my life. I'd never had afghan food, but now I will seek it out. The mantu were amazing and the lamb shank was so tender it feel apart just looking at it. I'm not a fan of eggplant, but this dish made me one. Service was excellent, and the price was very reasonable. I will be back soon.

It is a unique experience in Salt Lake City to have a Afghan food. Food was good quantity was average and The taste was really good. The yogurt eggplant sauce with the lamb shank with rice was the choice of my last night dinner which I enjoy going to a 15 minutes drive in order to to get to know this unique restaurant is called Afghani kitchen. The people was very friendly very open even though I was walked in 20 minutes before closing and they was able to get me a fresh food. I really recommend anybody who wants to try some ethnic and especially Afghan food to visit Afghan kitchen.
