This department is ridiculous and does not genuinely help families. A young lady put in her HEAP application in January of 2022 and is still waiting on help. The Mount Vernon Breathing Association location has sent two letters acting as if more information was needed for a family member. This information was sent with the first application. The information was sent again with a copy of the original application and highlighted the income of the family member. Another letter was received asking for the same information already sent two times prior. The Electric company could not believe how long it has taken this entity to provide help especially given disconnect status, the extended shut off. This applicant has borrowed so much money that she has to pay back for trying to keep electric from shut off, when there is a so called community resource that helps. This place is lying about what it is doing to help people with the funding it receives. All the paperwork needed has been sent multiple times and nothing has been done to assist. This is yet another entity just submitting for grant funding but not putting it in the community. CLIENT NUMBER 01426443 has unmet social determinants this entity claims to assist with and that is a lie. Why has an application submitted in January 2022 not been processed to date? All the documentation has been sent several times. Who does this entity have processing these applications at the Mount Vernon Breathing Association location? This client still faces disconnection and just had to borrow another installment from a family member who thinks she is lying so her autistic child has lights.

I tried to get help with my electric bill this summer. Sent in all my paperwork only to be told they didn't get it. I personally went there and dropped my info letter with all my private information soc. Security # , Id a copy. Then after speaking to someone from they gave me an email address and said send my personal info. After I did they turned around and said they didn't get it . So is someone stealing people's personal info? I never got help out of a lack of concern.
