Wow! This place is amazing. I can't believe I've waited til I was so old to actually take a tour of our Ohio Statehouse. It's definitely a design all to itself. The map room was really cool to see. But just the immaculate beauty of the columns, marble, fixtures, and even the restrooms was interesting to see. We got there just a little bit late, but was able to join the group with Cathy (I believe) being the tour guide. She was inviting and was able to answer most questions. And being a volunteer to be a guide was profound noble deed.

The below text currently appears on the Ohio Statehouse website. Mon. - Fri. 8 a.m. - 5 p.m Sat. & Sun. 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. *Note: Due to staffing and security considerations during weekend hours, only the 3rd Street and south underground parking garage entrances are open to the public. I have always assumed that the Ohio Statehouse is closed on weekends but their website states otherwise.
In any public place that the public is allowed, you're allowed to take pictures and video. Even if it's posted that you can't as long as it's open to the public it's free for all. Anybody who says you can't or posts that you can't is infringing on are constitutional rights!
They have a parking garage. If I can recall its not too expensive, but it does fill up pretty fast.
