Very poor service I am moved to Ocala from Connecticut with section 8 I was portable in from Connecticut to Ocala and it’s been a month and they still haven’t gotten contact with me I don’t know where these people expect me to live. It really sucks

Been on there waiting list for about a year now and I’ve literally bounced all of the place I’ve seen my spot go down and go right back to the old spot and I feel like the only reason it’s going down is because a lot of the applicants are withdrawing no emails about it no phone calls no heads up nothing I just signed up for the waiting list for apartments and even that a long list

Yes it is a major mistake on the Landlords part and you do have the right to a safe environment by law. Call Code Enforcement for either your City or County and tell them you would like #1) to know how to treat the mold as you are living with it and no one will get rid of it for you #2) you would like to know who to report this to because you think the proper authorities should be notified.

Call around to the local churches in your area and ask if they do any type of rent assistance for the community. In fact u might have to have more than one to meet your needs. You will have to make an appointment, have proper i.d., lease agreement, ect. Good luck to you.
Housing doesn’t work that way they don’t let you borrow money you have to get on a list and depending on how much you make they pay some of or all of your rent. There isn’t isn’t currently open yet it took me 5 years to get on the list and that was with it being open.

You have to call the ocala office to see if they are billing or accepting at this time if they are accepting then you can go to your case worker to move forward if they are billing then where you got your voucher from will have to dont quote me on this but they would have to foot your housing bill here in fl

You're gonna have to call them because from my understanding the waiting list is currently closed. Unless there was an emergency as far as being homeless with small children you wouldn't be able to apply until it reopened. They close the housing list about 6 months ago.
It is pretty long. Probably be on there for a year or more
