Our experience was amazing! If you're thinking about doing it, definitely sign-up! You will not regret it. It was so pretty & we saw so much wildlife. Our guide Christina was amazing!!! She had an upbeat personality, did a great job explaining how to paddle (especially for someone like me who had never kayak'ed), and she knew so many things about the eco system and answered all my questions! You can really tell she has a passion for her job.

My friend and I decided to go kayaking but are relatively new to the area. We decided to book through Get Up and Go Kayaking after seeing the multiple advertisements for it on social media. Our guide was super nice and amazing. I had not been kayaking in awhile and there are multiple sections where our kayak would get stuck. We were not the best team but we thoroughly enjoyed our kayak at near sunrise. The uphill in the beginning was a struggle. We went when it just rained so the stream had a red and brown tint on it like many people have mentioned. The views were so beautiful and I also brought a case to take some underwater pictures. I would definitely recommend getting there early instead of later. The line for Rock Springs is extremely long at 7 am and it is not the line you get in to get to King's Landing. Also after 10 am the area is extremely busy.

Thanks Jeremy for his thorough coaching and wonderful service! Really enjoyed the kayaking tour, and the first half was really a good practice and exercise for beginners to master the control and speed lol

You can kayak without a tour but I don't think there's any transportation to/from your vehicle. It's not a far walk but it's probably easier going with an inflatable kayak since they're much lighter to carry. The tours make it easier because the kayak equipment is set up at the launch and you just get in and go.
You can bring your own kayak but unfortunately not on our tours! You would have to go through Kings Landing in order to do a self launch with your own kayak! Please check out KingsLandingFL.com for more details and reservations for doing that!
We do only provided guided options - however you can always rent a kayak or canoe from Kings Landing if you prefer to go without a guide!
Went in April, we just used sun screen. Didn't get bit one time. Didnt even notice a Mosquito
Nope! I was told because it’s fresh water gators would not be present. And they weren’t 👍
Hey Benjamin - you can, however, you would have to launch on your own and not via a tour. Our insurance only covers people in our vessels so you'd have to look at just launching from Kings Landing!
Hey Samih - the closest location that we offer is our Crystal River location (about 1.5-2 hours away from Orlando)! Hope this helps!
I would definitely recommend just going direct to Kings Landing at Rock Springs. They launch from and rent gear for 25% of what they charge for one person (In response to the owner, as I'm sure they are aware: It is $59 a canoe for 4 people AND you have it for 4 hours). Enjoy on your own time with your friends or family without having to go with a random group and pay tips to a tour guide. We had a horrible experience with Get Up and Go Kayaking and lost over $200 we paid to them with circumstances out of our control and they just ignored us. The only time they respond is from finally just leaving a negative review. They lost nothing, and still have our money. Also if you're excited about the clear canoes (which we were), they are super overrated, once you see them in person (and in the water) they are not nearly as cool as the pictures on their website. Don't make the mistake we did. If you really want a cool experience just go direct and don't go through Get Up and Go Kayaking
