It's funny, all these places tell you to leave a man if he beats you but then you leave and your left out in the cold. I wouldn't have left had I known my only option would be the bus station. Everyone has an excuse why they can't help.
Yea Buddy
Awesome caring staff!!

The volunteers and staff here are amazing. They have access to all kinds of resources. A really great place to start if you think you need some support but not a lecture.

Do you have children and drug issues? There is an amazing program called UNC Horizons you could check out. But the compass center can put you in a hotel room for a night i believe in order to get you out of a situation until they can get you in long term housing or in a shelter, etc. But they also just recently started an actual housing program for women getting out of abusive relationships, where they pay your rent and deposits and for several months for your own apartment. Call them ASAP in the morning! There is also the Project Homestart Women's Shelter in Chapel Hill where you're able to stay for up to 2 years free or until you get on your feet. They also have a family shelter, if you do have children. With children you have your own room also. If anything you could also go to IFC in Carrboro and they can refer to Homestart or anywhere else that has immediate availability. Good luck and dont ever give up, you don't have to stay or be with anybody you don't want to.
For something like that you need to call them.
