Came for the Wednesday drag and drift event. Absolutely a blast if watching every day people hoon their ride around a closed course. For $35 you can hardly beat the entertainment.
Christian Sumulong
Went to the holley high voltage event. Chargers are available to event participants. Parking was not too bad. It was up the hill but they had a shuttle that made the rounds every 7 mins or so. Parking is on dirt and gravel so drive slowly.
Michael Long
First time there and it was great. Aside from the traffic its a great place to spend the day around racing. Definitely going more.
Alfonzo Tucker
From my first time seeing NHRA to my first time drifting to my first race track experience. This was where it started. 11 turns of fun and excitement. Lots of hills and a great place for a power walk. Check this place out during the Wednesday night drift and drags

Yes there is. They verify that it is yours so bring the paper. If you don't have it, they have a way to verifying still
I believe only certain sizes and no alcohol
Sonoma Raceway is a road course with different sanctioned events occuring throughout the year: if you'd like to see historic vintage race cars tackle Sonoma Raceway - visit CSRGracing.org for their next event - here's a video of the type of action & cars you'll see: https://youtu.be/NpzuYvUyd2k https://www.sonomaraceway.com/tickets/complete-schedule/ https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonoma_Raceway
Luis sounds like he's been there. I'd check the website for information and call just to be safe. I go to watch Nscar, formula cars, etc. Be safe.
Can't bring in anything bigger than that 15 by 15 by 15 ice chest no alcohol
Yes you can as long as you are not sitting in the assigned seating. There are other places you can sit with your chairs.
We paid $45 for seats in Turn 7 and was very satisfied. Cars came screaming into that Turn at around 150 m.p.h. , very exciting, a lot of passing right there! Kids ticket 10 and under for only $10!!!
Not at Sonoma, but here is their schedule https://speedsport.com/stock-cars/touring-late-models/schedule-set-spears-southwest-tour/
Just be careful ear protection and lots of water and u should be ok they have an elevator in the grand stands so a stroller is ok
Sanoma. Race track in Sanoma California June 24th
Both 1000 and 1/4 mile. 1000 feet for mello yellow series. 1/4 mile for normal use.
Years ago. Sears Point to Infinieon Speedway, to now, Sonoma Raceway. I still call it Sears Point from when I started going there in the 80's.
If youre asking about Indiecar, Joseph Newgarden won the 2017 Grand Prix
$60 for main day and $40 for Friday and $40 for Saturday...I've been going to the drags for over 20 yrs
From the Sonoma Raceway website: "Anyone with a valid driver's license can compete, providing their vehicle or motorcycle passes a simple technical inspection." So, 16.
Highway 121 turn right off the 37highway to the end on the right side of road 🛣️ racetrack
You'll have to go online to Sonoma raceway to see the next race but NASCAR only comes once a year
Preferred parking is available in advance, make sure you purchase tickets for each day, otherwise it's general parking which is included with ticket.
A clear see through backpack, clear plastic water bottles are okay
Seat back chairs
You can make reservations to camp right at the track on their grounds. Contact the Raceway for more info.
Check the staff directory
Not sure. It's long enough that the great denny hamlin is most likely going to need GPS to find his way around. I don't think a Uber driver is going to help him.
About 3 hrs unless there is a bad wreck
You need a driver's license. Unless you want to go Karting. Then a permit is fine
They have Wednesday night drags and drifts that will be starting up in March. Look at the website for more details about rules and safety.
There are quite a few driving groups that use Sonoma and the other bay area tracks. You can try hooked on driving and speed SF to start. Also have a look at motorsportsreg.com for events near you. Most if not all of these groups offer coaching and instruction for newer drivers and all Talent levels
To get an RV spot you have to go through the speedway website. You can also call the speedway for info; their people are super helpful. One of their planners even went out and took photos from where our spot was going to be before we committed.
What's the question? Lol not sure where the nearest train station is... somewhere in the bay area. Look up routes on Amtrak's website.
By working or volunteering there. The I'd card gets you in the gate.
They close down during winter reopen in spring hope that helps
You can bring street bikes to Wednesday Night Drags during the normal season (not now). Look on their website for rules on that. Not sure about track events.
Unsure call the track
At most events. Some local tracks don't
NASA sportscar racing Oct 28th. Practice is Oct 26th and 27th.
Cart racing is not an event.
Gates open at 08:00 am and the midway opens at 09:00
General parking is free. You can pay for parking on the track. So it depends... but theres definitely free general parking at the nascar events where I was earlier this year.
Here is a few of the allowables you can take... A backpack, if you wish (may not exceed 18"x18"x6" in size) Ear protection* is recommended (especially for the NHRA Division 7 Drags and NHRA Sonoma National events) A seat cushion* is highly recommended for the concrete terrace seating in Turns 2, 3, 7 and 9. Check out website for most updated info
Turn left pass speedway down like 1/2 mile to gate 9,speepway should be on your left till u get to the gate
I believe the mountain above the racetrack is Sears Point. Hiked it when I was a kid and security wasn't a thing. That and it took 5 hours to leave. Lol
the Save Mart race this weekend on Sunday
They'll scan your tickets at the gate
Don't know, we raced Saturday, Sunday
Yes you can on track day you have to call ahead of time and find out when they have them scheduled.
I think you are asking if there is handicap ramps so a scooter can access the grandstands. Yes, it is possible if what I described is what you are asking.
You can pick up free race day kids tickets from Save Mart and Lucky stores. Friday, Saturday Qualifying kids 12 & under are free w/ adult General Admission ticket. 12 & under tickets are $10 race day.
80 miles
Unless you are in the main grandstand (expensive tickets and they say so) the rest of the "seats" are concrete terraces with gravel at your feet.
Yes on wed nights ..wed nights start on March 13 top the cops start later in the year that is where the HS kids race the cops
You'd probably have to do it on a Track Day event. Check out the Simraceway schedule they have events for street cars. https://simracewaydrivingschool.com/event/performance-driving-track-day-plus-6/ Or check out the SCCA Track Night in America schedule to see when they're hosting an event there.
Hope they still do. Just have to find out.
Michael Adretti curve. The next corner after the drag strip.did they take out the hill parts.
You can purchase online, or at the raceway box office. If you need to pick up tickets you have already purchased on race day you will need to go to Will Call located at Gate 1, Main Entrance. Bring your identification.
800-870-RACE, ticketing department
www.sonomaraceway.com view schedule by which type of event you are looking for. Complete, major event, testing, drags, motorcycle, etc.
You get great parking behind grandstands. You also have V.I.P.seating in sweat or tent of one of the riders. That what they do for the N.H.R.A. Anyway
I have never noticed any showers.
I know at the NHRA Nationals drag races you can camp across the street from the racetrack. You will probably have to look on Sonoma Raceway website to find out the cost. Showers I don't know about. And I don't know if they allow camping at other events.
I believe they have to be a certain age not to sure call them uo theyvwill let you know
Wine Country Motorsports is the store located on site. They would be able to help.
Yes they are. Staff will look through all bags before you enter the grounds
Because Fox is broadcasting the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Fox's main channel
I was there on friday and the parking was included with the race ticket, we just had to show it at the gate.
Bring your own padding no need to bring seat
Yes a very small one
NHRA at the end of July
Remember, track length is measured down the center of the track so your mileage will vary depending on the line you take.
No golf carts, they have trams
Go into the main gate. Get there as early as you can. Traffic is always really bad on race day
No.. but check into track days that are open for that..!
Old duck hunting blinds.
You'll probably need to call the track and inquire about this, each event has different rules.
If you are asking about the GT3 weekend in June in conjunction with NASCAR, no, rain is extremely unlikely. The rain season is Nov 1st to May 1st. It can extend a little on both sides but not much. NO rain in the summer.
They have official web site. Check it!
Maybe new sponsor
I called and left a message. Joanna called me back within about 20 minutes and she said yes they are open to the public. They are open from 6 a.m. till 7 p.m. 7 days a week including race days. They do not accept cash you have to pay at the pumps with a card and if there is a race going on you sometimes have to buy a ticket to that race and they will reimburse you as long as you leave in a timely manner
Can you drive your car on the track without taking a driving instruction course?
I would imagine that Simraceway Performance Driving Center has a program
$40 pre-reg $50 at the gate for Sonoma drift Wednesday nights
IndyCar also races there. They usually end their season at this track.
I believe if you have plans to do a ride along. I'm sure they do have loaner, rental or gear you can buy. They are very accommodating and have covered every angle of needs for driver's and customers. They also support their local citizens in a FIRE disaster. I'm one of the fire survivor's they helped. Supporting Sonoma Raceway is a good deed. Thank you for asking about them.
Depends on who's organizing the track day. Check out SpeedSF, NCRC or Hooked on Driving for prices and dates.
This is between hwy 37 and 121 in Sonoma ca
Yes, AFM is running a round of their 2017 motorcycle road racing series today.
