Wonderful, family-like throughout. Clean, spacious, beautiful building. A blessing to be able to cook for one's self, using food provided and-or what one buys. UNC transit is another blessing at the front door. Security onsite. Parking ample and well-lighted. Volunteers and staff strive to serve.

I have been staying here off and on for about 15 years and I love it there the rooms are nice and clean the staff is super friendly not to mention the volunteers especially those that provide meals. There is absolutely nothing that I can say negative about the FAMILY HOUSE

Yes there is, even now with construction they still have parking.
Very family friendly & I highly recommend it. Volunteers & faculty go above & beyond.
Only the highest praise goes to this place. Even we were there at the darkest of times. What ever the cost it would not compare to the services and companionship that this place and its guest and volunteers provide. We paid average of 30$ per night for 3 months plus stay but was worth 3times that to our family.
Guests who stay at SECU Family House are referred to the House through their care team UNC Hospitals. They are patients in long term treatment programs and/or their famiky members who live 50 miles or more away from the hospital.
