Happy Home
We first visited this place as part of an organized event in 2002. We've been there several times since, and there was a long hiatus until last week. The place is well-managed and well attended, for a most positive synergy. It is sad that otherwise well-meaning people in Virginia are so up in arms about associating in public in the same state of undress nearly 100% of us experience at least once per day. The folklore goes something like, the county "missed" the mention of "naturist camp" in the original application, and not a one has been approved in Virginia since. And given the resort's success, it is also a shame that the surrounding property owner has no interest in selling to allow White Tail to expand. The demand is most certainly there. We arrived - with reservations (AMAZING they remembered us from the many years before) in a small camper. The resort doesn't really make clear on their website, they are well equipped for campers (power, water, cable, separate dump), and unimproved campsites, and limited cabins. The character of the place is driven by the now many full-time residents - a bit obvious by the lack of tan lines, and all are remarkably friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The site is as well equipped as any in the US, with two pools (one covered, with a volleyball net), a hot tub, walking and biking space, tiny snack offering, and a remarkably and unexpectedly good "comfort food" snack bar by the pool open on weekends currently, for three meals. One service that is NOT a priority is WiFi - best if you can bring your own - we used Starlink RV. Many trees on site, but where we ended up had sufficient sky exposure to serve our needs. Like many resorts, a charge number issued at check-in is good for all snacks and other purchases in the small store, thus obviating the need for any kind of wallet or purse. If you've visited other naturists places, you know what to expect. If you're new, and thinking about visiting, this is a great place to start, and I would just say that RESPECT is the one demand of guests. If you can do that, the rest is just getting comfortable in your own skin (shouldn't be that hard - you've lived in it all your life), and realizing everyone is different, and in that, we're all the same. Get past that, and there is great freedom that comes from enjoying the sun - then thinking "I feel like a shower" - and get up from the lounge chair, take your towel, step over to the shower, and refresh. In case you're wondering, yes, toilets are gender separated. Remember, RESPECT, and you can have a great time. Questions ? Just ask. Enjoy.

Everyone is friendly and respectful. Huge pool, spacious hot tub and great food at the snack bar.

This was my first time being here and it was a little bit nervous at first but then I slowly eased into the feeling of being nude around other people made me feel like a casual day at home but I was able to do things and hangout with other people getting to know them. I definitely look forward to spending more time at this place sometime down the road. May have came out with a heavy kiss from the sun but it's worth the trip here

It never fails to be a good time here. The people here are always so kind and generous and you will feel immediately at home. The events are always a blast and even on the none holiday or event weekends this place still has things going on. The property is well taken care of as well and the emanates at nice. The restaurant has some amazing food as well and it's perfect place for a good spot of food and relaxation out of the sun! There is also plenty of things to do around the grounds as well like volleyball courts, library, gaming room, dance hall, tennis courts, racket ball court, and even an over sized chess set!

It's Fine..Am a Single Woman..All is Cool..Ciao 😊
No, you can have body hair however you want it. No requirements on waxed vs unwaxed on any body parts.
It's an awesome place and good people. You are guaranteed to feel welcomed and at home. I encourage you to try it. It's very relaxing and stress free.
The best time to go is when your ready. Its not about what othe people see. Its about you being comfortable without your clothes. The people at the resort are friendly and easy going.
I am early 60s and a little over weight to. Just tell her to go to Wal-Mart and imagine everyone without clothes. That's what she can expect. If she doesn't change her mind after going I will pay for her trip. Lol
Yes they have lockers
It will not be a problem, come and enjoy.
Understated jewelry is the rule. Most body piecing are acceptable. Hanging or connecting jewelry of any kind is not permitted. Management reserves the right to determine what is acceptable while on White Tail Resort Property. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
If its at the pools or hot tubs its fully nude
You can live here full-time or part-time. From time to time we have trailers for sale on lots. You have to be a member to be able to purchase anything and it has to be approved by the owner.
You have to be naked in all "recreational" areas. That's the pool(s) and hot tub and the area around them; the volleyball area; and a couple other places. Everywhere else is clothing optional.
With this being a family resort we must keep in mind that kids ranging from 2 years old to 18 years old are present all the time. Be respectful, if you feel yourself starting to be erect, cover up til you are safe to uncover again.
One rule is no taking pictures of anybody unless they give you the ok to do so. Another is no sex . It's not a sex club. Another rule is you look at the person's face when you talk to them. You don't stare at people. When they let you in you have to go to the office first. Another rule is to bring two towels. One to sit on. And one to dry off when swimming . Another rule is to have fun. There's 2 pools. A small gym.a restaurant. A volleyball area. A hot tub. A room where they show movies some times. Another rule is you must take all your clothes off. The people there are nice. They make you feel welcome. Another rule is no illegal drugs allowed. Not sure about any other rules. If there is they will let you know.
Our pools use a salt generating system to keep that water clean. It does produce some chlorine but at a much lesser amount than a traditional chlorine pool.
You can go for the day. Just call the office, or just show up on the day you want to visit.
Yes. The resort has a diverse collection of people. Same sex couples are. Are just as welcome as any other couplw.
If you are not a creeper, then you won't be considered a creeper. No camera devices near swimming pool & hot tub area. So many amenities to enjoy.
Bring two towels. One for drying, one for sitting on. The pool is saltwater, so make sure to reapply sunscreen more often. Bring a lunch, or cash for the snack bar.
The people you meet will help you feel at ease. Go at your own pace for disrobing, bring a towel to sit on and relax breathe
It's not that we have adult only events due to we are a family resort, however our Halloween Dance we ask to not have children at that dance due to the nudity type costumes. Other than that children are welcome until 11pm at all times and events.
You can bring you own alcohol, however we don't sell any. Also you may smoke outside in designated areas. We don't allow smoking inside any buildings. Hope to see you visit our resort.
It's no big thing...I'd go to the website calendar and find an open house and go to that...
The younger crowd has been growing. But I am 25, and I have gone out a couple times where there wasn't much of a younger crowd and I still have fun.
There's zero tolerance for racism at Whitetail Resort and if you have an erection the best thing to do is try to be modest and cover it up hey it happens
Hi Th cost is $45.00 for a day visit. Bob
Yes. As a black man myself, I've been there several times and found every one very friendly and accepting. The resort is actually in Ivor. It'll be about a 3 hour ride from northern va roughly.
Generally late April...inside pool is open year round 24/7..
$35 last time I went. There is a discount if you're an AANR member.
It always Good to contact White Tails by Calling the Office. They closes at 5pm .Ciao. .
If you have concerns regarding your pregnancy & a pool, I'd suggest that you have a discussion with your doctor. If you're referencing the health and safety of the people at the resort & the pool due to nudity, I assure you that the pool is just as safe as any other.
All types of grooming (or lack thereof). Wax/shave or dont. None of that matters at WTR. It's not about what you look like. It's about YOU as a person.
No ma'am... that's not what it's all about. There is a member whom has had a double mastectomy. She floats around in the pool, dances, and everything else just like the rest of us. I only say this in hopes it will make you feel more comfortable.
