This is one of the worst hospitals to ever go to they will let there patients sit in the waiting room to literally die my brother was taken there in a ems around 2pm it's going on 11pm and he still hasn't been seen. and keep in mind they wasn't busy at all he steady sitting in the waiting room in pain and vitals are steady dropping I wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone not to mention the waiting room nurses was very rude

The hospital staff, nurses and doctors are amazing. The food was great and delivered on time each day. I’m so impressed.

Worst hospital on the planet. Only one truly good nurse amongst the ER staff and she can’t hold back the tide of incompetence and laziness. Forget being seen for what ails you, you will wait in their ER for an eternity and have to prompt the staff to collect ursine samples or run blood work. Terrible place.

We waited hours and hours and hours. The emergency waiting area was packed so forget social distancing. I overheard one of the staff members talking about being understaffed. Clearly there were emergent cases and then a large percentage of people there for what should have been a routine doctors appointments. If you are in the emergency room ordering door dash go home. It was so much going on I felt as if I was gonna be sick after this. They did their best with what they had I guess. This visit wasn’t reflective of the quick and thorough responses that we’re used. My husband was eventually seen and taken care of. Seeing this makes me very afraid to even think of an emergency. Everyone please do your best to stay safe and healthy. Our institution designed for healthcare are suffering in a big way!

My wife and I had the same experience. Even worse they had us kicked out the hospital. Making us leave our dying son behind. No sense in requesting help. From the Vice president Jeffrey Langdon himself nobody at that evil hospital could care less about you.
I would get a referral from her primary dr.
Yes, but it should be no surprise that medical care in America is a for-profit industry and will be just that however it affects those in need of medical attention despite their coverage conditions. It's a sad thing, but it's our reality.
Yes. Go to the gift shop on the ground floor. Parking passes are $4 instead of $8. You can get them up to 5 day at a time. I hope this helps. It did for me when my wife was in the hospital there.
I do believe so!!!!
Make an appointment and then try to find out try to have them listen to you so you can see what's going on with you
Yes sir
I,m not sure but I will do some researching
Yeah, don't get the whole through my email
Why not just ask your "friend"?
It's called the pink smock. Inside Duke Hospital
Your family Dr should be able to give you a referral. Duke also has several urgent care centers around Durham as well as their ER, a visit to any of them should be able to refer you as well.
I would call Duke Hospital or check their website unless you can wait to check with your provider MondayI checked Dukes website and from what I see they do not accept Humana, but please double check with them to make sure. I just don't want to mislead you by googling it.
Please specify what you mean by "restored." Brain cells do not regenerate but other areas of the brain can take over that function. Neuroplasticity ( the brain's incredible ability to adapt and change) seems to have more to do with the patient and their very individualized situation rather than the medical center. Please be careful of any claims someone is making that they can fix a brain injury. A good resource for you might be CMS Hospital compare. A hospital that is either a certified stroke center or ranks well in meeting goals of emergency stroke treatment would likely be a good place for any other kind of brain injury. Take care.
Come in the front entrance of duke university hospital and ask the information desk where can find duke North Ct. But make sure you say duke North
Duke University, and Duke University Medical Center in particular were one of the greatest places in all of this nation to go to for anything. I'll tell you with pride my Mother & one of my Son's are alumnus. Duke, being private, as well as a learning school is still very cutting-edge in many areas. But, like both the individuals in my family, (both MDs) cannot wait to get out of "Dirty Durham". This is why there are few Duke Docs here. Tons of worthless PAs, and 'Fellows' to annoy. Staff is great. Docs are amongst the most smug incompetance *anywhere. Fact. Againnnn, being a private hospital? They want your money. Recent studies suggest those with the greatest insurance have a 31% higher likelihood of surgery diagnosis per example. (This is all Private Hospitals in the US.) Kinda like an athlete breaking anything, a finger? Surgery. I'll wrap up with another fact, a truth. Those who live in Durham or Durham County with good insurance? Go to Chapel Hill or an increasing Wake Medi
That's really up to the doctor's
I know anything about, essential tremor.
GOD EVENING..DON'T NOTHING ABOUT THAT????..ASK A DOCTOR..
Yes, go to the careers website for Duke. They are hiring at all locations.
Yes it's open with healthier choices including no sugar drinks
We have had the same problem there is a Holiday in on Guess road they offer the best rate with the discount, they give free breakfast and give transportation, sadly there is not any free housing to my knowledge I am at Duke currently with family.
I don't know if they have that, but they do have a customer service line that can direct you any department or person you need to reach.
Hey yes Duke University hospital is very good at response times, and geniually car me about your loved one
Yes it's a absolutely wonderful facility
Lol there are soooo many! Who are you sending the fax to?
They do. Contact a social worker at the hospital, they should be able to provide you with voucher for hotel across the street.
Yes there is just call Duke hospital main number they can direct you
Depends on the clinic/specialty. Call the provider's number.
No sure
I know they do bone marrow transplants for sc patients.
Hi from my understanding they do. However I'm unsure which department you should contact I will start with the Duke Neurology Department they're very helpful and their entire staff goes above and beyond to help.
Come to Charlotte’s Er and wait 6-8 instead😉😉
That would be wise. I hope you get to feeling better.
Duke Raleigh Hospital is a certified stroke center.
Yes, Duke has several psychiatrists on staff that can treat severe anxiety. Call the main desk and so for their mental health section.
I'm going to say yes. Their neurology department is very comprehensive. For a verified answer, I would contact Duke neurology.
Go make an appointment in person at Duke. They are very helpful and professional.
yes. Do you my chart which is where you can see Drs.or go on the website.
Don't be scared. They will make you so comfortable you want fill anything.
Questions on this forum are answered by private citizens who've been to Duke Hospitals. For a question of this nature I urge you to talk to a doctor at Duke
Two hotels across from the hospital: Cambria and Duke University Inn. The Millennium is down the road and they have a shuttle too.
Have your primary doctor refer you to a doctor there at Duke.
That's a question better suited for your oncologist
Duke has an ongoing study of the yse of adult stem cells to treat juvenile autism. You would need to contact the researcher about participation. As of this date, I think the procedure is inly done as part of research studies.
I would call the hospital and ask before I get here
Yes
To me, it doesn't matter. Get it out fast! Sounds painful!
