Duke University, and Duke University Medical Center in particular were one of the greatest places in all of this nation to go to for anything. I'll tell you with pride my Mother & one of my Son's are alumnus. Duke, being private, as well as a learning school is still very cutting-edge in many areas. But, like both the individuals in my family, (both MDs) cannot wait to get out of "Dirty Durham". This is why there are few Duke Docs here. Tons of worthless PAs, and 'Fellows' to annoy. Staff is great. Docs are amongst the most smug incompetance *anywhere. Fact. Againnnn, being a private hospital? They want your money. Recent studies suggest those with the greatest insurance have a 31% higher likelihood of surgery diagnosis per example. (This is all Private Hospitals in the US.)
