Beautiful place to visit.

Goleta beach is a great place for small gatherings, a family beach day or a bicycle ride along the trails. I've been coming here for years and it is an awesome, well kept park.

So dirty or maybe I came here at wrong time. Smells also

I don't know anything about camping there. We only played at the beach.
Certain times of year the slough is alot shallower or filled in too. Low tide is always best and there's a flat spread of sand a little ways into the waves that's easiest to cross at because there's no huge dip or hole but you gotta beat the waves lol
No, it closes at sundown.
Yes, until sundown! Hahaha! I think it is up to 30'
Yea, The history is, ....there used to be rock where the cave is now. And then there wasn't. It used to be a natural harbor, and the local chumash Indians lived at the mouth of it for a few thousand years. Having personally seen how the cave is FILLED with detritus at king tides, I would venture a guess that it is a naturally occurring phenomenon.
No fishing license is required, although there are norms and guidelines to follow through
Yes dogs are allowed.
Dogs on leash ok. However there are areas outside of ranger's view where dogs run free i.e across slough and around rock by UCSB
I work with County Parks and can confidently say the pier is open 24/7. While some of the parking lot is closed while the park is closed (sunset to 8am), the lot near the restaurant remains open for people to access the pier at any time they please
This is true for for some sunsets in general. The 'flash' you see is an optical phenomena, sometimes will occur green, lasts for no more than a second or two! Very cool even if you're lucky to witness it.
I think yes. Because I didn't see any sign about pet and also I saw a lot of dogs there. And also you can make food and drink too.
Generally they don't seem to care if it stays within reason but depends really. If you are running around with a six pack of beer and are drunk it can get tricky. I wouldn't trust it and stay away from carrying open liquor or wine bottles
Yes
The park area is not open all night besides the pier. The rulles are you can't sleep in your car overnight. So I would have to say no to the Rv overnight.
