I am not sure you should contact the Bahamian Consulate. I know one time ago they allow you to go on the cruise however you would not be allow to exit customs or ship without proper documents.

There's no such thing as a temporary passport. I believe you'll need to obtain a police report and all original documents to obtain a new passport. Alot has changed.
