I had a one-way rental from a different Hertz location. The other location didn’t have the car reserved. They the. put me in a lesser car and changed my daily rate from $217 to $257 a day. The Stonefront Plaza location fixed the issue without fuss and we’re a pleasure to deal with.

I have been renting from Hertz for years and never had a single problem. They were always polite, professional, easy to deal with. Until this past Wednesday. I had reserved a car online. When I went to pick it up, the representative was surly and unhelpful. He told me they would have to do a credit check on me and if my credit score was below 650, I would have to pay a $500 security deposit. I was absolutely floored. This never happened before. Never had a single issue with payments with them. I always paid them with no problems, returned the car on time, everything I was supposed to do. I told him to cancel the reservation. He refused to do it. He said I had to call the 800 number. It was just a hostile experience altogether. I will never use Hertz again. And I will make sure I tell my friends about my experience.

The staff here is amazing! My mom was driving from DC to Williamsburg for the passing of a friend and her car broke down in Fredericksburg. The staff at this Hertz location was willing to stay past closing to make sure she was taken care of and had the rental parked out front when she arrived. 10/10 would recommend.
