I highly suggest everyone to go. It was beautiful, especially at night. It was well worth the money. However, I do advise to wear boots, hats and gloves. I went unprepared and was freezing.

Beautiful experience! Indeed a winter wonderland. This year they really did up their game with 3 different ice slides and it’s definitely a cool experience not just for kids but adults too. To avoid large crowd try to visit during a weekday. Book tickets in advance from their official website. That would save you time and not have to stand in line.

It was awesome! Great for children. Some adults were, however, very disappointing. Upon entry you were to sign a waiver and was told to respect the ice castles property, absolutely no breaking of icicles, etc. then I saw adults punch a thin ice wall and intentionally broke icicles. It’s vandalism in my opinion but not my place to call them on it. Overall it was a great short trip. Beautifully designed and organized parking and entry. Admission fee was reasonable. I’ll comeback again. Update: I came back during the day with my children during the day. It was still awesome!

This was amazing. Fun for the entire family!! What more can you say other than it’s magical. Ice slides, ice castles that light up, and great photo ops for the family. This is something you should experience whether you have kids or not. Dress warm because it’s more casual walking atmosphere and be ready for beautiful views!!!

January 5th through February 28th, depending on weather
Tickets range from $6.95 for children to $15 for adult walk-ins.
You get as much time as you want in the ice castles. And it may be expensive but it's definitely worth it
Might be obvious, but wear a good pair of boots. The ground inside the castle is like walking around through a margarita.
Yes. We brought a stroller and couldn't use it so the staff said that they would bring it to the exit. They also have sleds that you can use to bring your baby around, however no straps to hold a baby.
Yes. I think it's about $18, but it is best to get them before so you don't have to wait in line.
Yes, walk-up are allowed. But save your money and do something more fun like go sledding.
Yes you'd be wise to Do. Sometimes it gets Pretty busy and Time slots get Taken that you May Have Wanted

I don't think so as there is empty when I was there in last week.
Yes, last day of the season.
This time of year we only schedule out 1 week at a time but if the weather holds cool we have the potential to stay open until March 8th
Adults: $12.99 on weekdays, $17.99 on weekends. Children: $9.99 on weekdays, $11.99 on weekends It is well worth it as someone who just visited for the first time. 🙂
Children 11 and younger are as follows: $7.95 on weekdays and $9.95 on weekends for kids ages 4-11. Children 3 and younger are free and don't need a ticket.
Yes! They can be purchased on the web site.
They are open
The news said that they open tomorrow, the 17th.
I think they are noon to 9 but you want to go when it's dark out or you wont enjoy it all.
it's not like the old day's meaning... 90's it's $50 a person:/ & not quiet as big as when I remembered.. still had a great time!! lots of rest room area's!
It doesn't give a specific date on their website. All it says is late December early January so I would just keep an eye out for times and dates on their site.
15 dec until first february week
They don't have a sure date yet . I guess all depends of whether
Here that maybe help to go out, ..Things To Do in Excelsior MN - Events Calendar https://www.townplanner.com/excelsior/mn/
Winter only, it is baseball fields and a public park the rest of the year
Yes they are closed for the season now. 😞
I visited it yesterday. Today Will be open. I am not an employee.
Less impressive during daylight hours, but then the Ice itself has a great blue tint. I recommend arriving just before it starts to get dark, so you can experience both.
Lights are on at all times that the ice castle is open. Just better seen at night
Just look up ice castle.com and the website will tell u
Hmm..check at Maynard's. They were shuttling people. Or metered parking on the street is $4 an houralong the lake.
Not certain
The weekend is more expensive.
Yes you can get tickets online and the times start at 4pm and when you pick your time you have to be there during the time you pick
Yes
Depends on weather
Yes to the pictures but no pets
My best guess would be around sunset (currently around 5pm) they'd turn on.
Please see their website for a list of hours but as of now it shows nothing about an early opening on that particular Monday
Usually until the first or second weekend in March, but it's totally dependant on the weather.
They aren't located at stillwater this year, they moved it to excelsior.
Yes it is. You can request (at no cost) a big sleigh and they will push you around. Senior citizens can also request this if they have troubles walking in crushed ice. We've requested it in the past for our Grandparents.
$15.95 weekend for adults. $10.95 during week.$9.95 child weekend. $7.95 child during week
Yes. Request a sleigh at no cost :)
Monday/Wednesday/Thursday 4pm-9pm, Friday 4-9:30pm, Saturday 12-9:30pm, Sunday 12-8pm, Tuesday Closed. They are currently set to open on January 12th
So are they open, last week they said they were a week behind because of weather
According to their website, they will be open in 2019 but not in Stillwater. This time they will be in Excelsior at The Commons on Lake Minnetonka
You can but tickets now (in advance is okay) at the following website: https://icecastles.com/excelsior/
Note to January
Not for a couple weeks
It's too warm... the ice castle is no longer open for the season. It'll be open again next year
Always check their website to see if it's open, especially if the weather's warmed up at all.
Your boots are plenty
They'd probably let you in. We had the grandkids with a sled, there's a small hill they had a blast on, and didn't have to stand in line like you do inside.
If you can't reschedule online then still you can go, only thing is people reserved for 5.30 gets priority. Have fun at ice castle
There's no time limit. You can stay as long as want once you enter in but there's no re-entry
Nearer the time
No outside food or drink allowed. The concession stand has cocao and some snacks. We went across the street to the Irish Pub for drinks before our time slot came up. There are lots of places within a couple blocks that serve alcohol.
Yes they do they did that to me i didint have tickets thinking i could pay at the window but a man told me "no tickets no entre"
Stillwater Antiques
Prices are on their website, and very from weekend and weekday, online and at door, adult and kid. Check there before making the trip.
There is plenty of space but the ground surface could pose a challenge. The snow has several loose areas and low spots.
Their website main page has all this information
This is only 2 blocks from main Street with tons of shops and bars.
Its to early to call it... Weather will play a big factor this year.
