The service here is great. I found a stray dog and took him there. Pretty easy process
Miranda Thompson
What can I say they are professional people who care about animals! They love what they do!!!
Mashè Clinkscale
I reported a dog who was hit by a car yesterday and no one has come to help him yet! Every time I call to check in on the request I can’t get a straight answer. He is an injured dog the city has 24 hours to pick him up but they are telling me no one has been dispatched and can’t provide a time frame to when someone should be expected! This is ridiculous and the city of Chicago should be ashamed!
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
No they don't pick-up.. Can anyone help me.. I found 4 kittens
About 60 or 70 dls
Good job Simi! Actually I called before they closed and no one answered. I think there is a problem with their number. I was going to ask if they come get the cat but I couldn't get thru. Hope Michelle gives you a give.
Yes, it is same day adoption. I took my pets home the same day both times I adopted from there.
Check with local nonprofit animal rescues such as Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control, MCP Rescue, Chicago Bully Breed Rescue, etc.
Yes you can. But you have to e-mail their website and make an appointment
Call them I believe they can direct u what u need if they dont
Yes. They train you so you and the animals are kept safe
You can't bring in your pet to get spaued/neutered or get it's shots BUT you CAN call PAWS. They're assoiated with an organization that does this for free. I called them and they even went to pick up my cats from my job cause i wasn't gonna be home at that time and thet brought them back to my house the same afternoon. Microchipped, neutered and with their shots!!!
You have to contact them or check on Facebook Chicago Animal Care and Control adoptable pets
Take her to ASPCA on 27th and Western in Chicago. Louise
Go to the website ACC animal control center and PAW,S Chicago go to donations on the website and please send thank you.
I don't have puppies.
Go as soon as they open. I saw some people do that last week.
yes but you should call and make sure cause usually you set turtles free
@Josh Seaney they don't have that type of funding to retain a staff for customer service. You can go on fb and like these 2 pages and ask volunteers there... @CACC Adoptable Pets, @CACC Transfer Team.
Yes they do if you adopt that would be nice.
Yes they do. Call and ask them about specifics to adoption.
I hope so cause i really would love to adopt a pet from them so what would i need to adopt
There is no fee to surrender your pet. The shelter is full so depending on what your surrendering it might not have much time to get adopted. But if you go to surrender Thursday-Sunday there is a rescue group that sits outside and helps with rehoming your pet.
Wed, April 10th at 8 am. Every 2nd Wed of every month
Is Roxy friendly with cats?
CACC is offering free adoptions for dogs and cats on 2/9 12pm to 2/10 6pm
They help me when my dog pass
The sooner the better... The cute, calm, younger ones go quick!
The best way to get information is just to come in to the shelter. The staff is extremely busy and it is not practical for them to answer the phone. If you are looking for a lost pet, you have to come in to the shelter anyways. There are hundreds of animals in the shelter each day and the staff cannot answer questions about them over the phone.
They do. You can call 311 (information) and tell them you need animal control to come get a stray. They'll ask you for the location and send someone out. Problem is it can take a while for them to come and the animal might be gone by then. If it's at all possible for you to bring the animal in yourself then you'll know the animal is safe. I know that's often not possible or even practical and I don't want anybody getting injured. So definitely call though.
They have all kinds.the best thing to do is call and they will walk you through it.
Contact paws or animal welfare league. Animal control Doesn't take spay/neuter appointments.
Check the adoptable page on petharbor.com/chicago
If they have space, if he is surrendered by someone who cant keep him, he goes for adoption right away. If he is a stray, 3 to 5 days. If no space, or he is sick, he waits. Its hard,, they never have as much space as they need. They get so many animals each day, not enough adoption s to keep up.
Go in, tell them if you want a cat or dog. They'll ask you different questions to see what suits the needs of the pet and yours. They let you interact with the animals you're interested in. If you decide to adopt, you do the paperwork, and then someone talks to you about caring for your new pet (vet visits, food, keeping them indoors etc.). There are different prices for adoption fees based on the animals. Fees for dogs are more than the fees for cats. Hope that helps, good luck!
You can look for a rescure for help. Try felines of chicago on facebook. They help place kittebs with rescues.
Super small puppies are usually pulled by rescues for their safety against sickness - but CACC has a lot of young dogs 7 months and up that are perfect for easy potty training and manners. There are so many good dogs there if all breeds - best is to go online pick a few you like and go meet them during open hours. Or ask the volunteers for suggestions as they know the dogs best!
They have volunteering services. Call them, they open at noon and always answer. Ask them
Chicago animal care control offers shots for Cats and Dogs at a reasonable price. I believe that you have to set up an appointment on line or you can call 311 they should be able to give you some information.
They will not treat privately owned animals, you would need to bring it to a private vet.
Hello Yes. Cacc has events for this. You have to look at the calendar on the website. Good luck
Yes. From 12 - 6 p.m. Take a picture I.D. try to give them as much info about your pet. You should also try reaching out to Shepherd rescues. Good luck
Are you going to adopt? If so fill out application, write the ID number of the pet you are interested in and walk in at the shelter. They will show you pet in the yard and be prepare to be there for two hours.
It takes weeks very disappointing. But what I wanted to give shelter were cats. I still have these cats. It financially in real. Still need help.
Give them a call they might if your in Chicago all u can do is call and ask
You can take them to the animal shelter and they can put them for adoption for you no question ask as well you can take them to adoption location only for cats
Look, these people are really no good. Try to stay away form there. Management pure- Dee SUCKS!. I would just go somewhere else. Go at your own risk
If I carry
Call them
When our dog got out, the police took him to CACC.... Maybe call 311?
I have a active 3 years old bangle cat need to find a new home for him. I live at W Roosevelt rd.
Everything is done by appointment only. Email to schedule an appointment.
I believe there is but I'm not sure how much
You must make an appointment and it is only between the hours of 12 noon to 7pm
So sorry for your loss. You can call 311 and they will pick up your kitty for you. You can also bring it to a vets office and they may help you with it but call first. You can also bury it legally in your back yard. Hope this helps.
Chicago Animal Care and control would take them just let them know you found them because there is a vet there
I'm not sure, but it may be free
With in 48 hours
It might depend on your circumstances an availability. However, it may take 7-10 business days.
No, they don't have the capacity to board animals. I would recommend checking with your vet or vets in the area. They often have boarding services available.
Just go in and they will help you...or try fb
Don't know if they come to you I only took found animal to them.
Yes
Depending on the weight of the kitten/cat. If the cat has had kittens it would be wise to wait until the have been weaned and she has not had another period. The vet will determine if her uterus has returned to its' normal size. Most vets will want the mother to be vaccinated also.
I don't think they come out to pick up cats. What is the reason you want to surrender them?
Make an appointment online in this place there you will receive it
No it not
Yes, they will
Cacc on 2741 s. Western.
You need to schedule an appointment to view the animals. You need to go to their site, fill out the application and email it back to them. They then contact you to schedule an appointment
If your dog is really sick I believe they do.
You would most likely need to email them. They normally aren't good at responding to phone calls.
Yes
When I went in earlier this month, they had a free event. I didn't have to pay anything to get my baby = kitten. Call and see if they still are hosting the free event. I believe normally dogs are $65 , but don't hold me to that.
Call them up and simply ask them. But i think you need to have an I.D. and some basic info
Email, Chicago Animal Control on 2741 S Western, to bring in them in.
I believe they take them , give them a call. I took my deceased cat there to be cremated.
No they won't
It's $65, but the dogs are already spayed/neutered, have their shots.
You'll have to go to site for their real time info https://www.chicago.gov/city/en/depts/cacc.html
I had to have my Buster euthanize two weeks ago. He had 2 large Mass probably the size of a grapefruit. The week prior to that I had taken him to a 24-hour vet because he stopped eating which cost $900. I was told that he was in bad shape. There is no charge to have him euthanized I was inconsolable at the time . There was no charge but I did have all of his paperwork with me. I do suggest that you called first. I am so sorry to hear about your 💔
Honestly I don't know
There are certain hours that you can go and view animals that you might want to Foster or adopt. So I suggest that you phone before you go.
Yes
Yes, I reckon that you can dial 311 they will dispatch someone from animal control to pick up the animal if you don't care to keep it.
No
Sorry to hear you're losing part of your family yes they will take them
I believe they have flat fee of $65 for all pets. Check their website for available cats.
Google" Paws" absolutely they can help
Be over 21 years old, a photo ID as the license, and not have more than 2 pets.
Call 311 they will send animal control to pick up the dog.
I don't understand. Your dog was taken there and passed away?
I don't know there is a number you can call find out
CACC adoptable dogs
Get a cone that you can buy from the pet store or from your vet and keep it on your cat for a week. Once the bleeding stops check in the ear and see if anything is cut, outside objects in the ear, or an infection. Do not remove anything yourself as you can damage to ear. You will either have to take it to the vet or give it up. There are programs that can help with the expenses depending on the case but the best thing to do if you can't afford basic things give your pet up.
Yes, Although I can't guarantee they won't kill it.
No it's a city of Chicago disposable center They will help you with fees if you qualify PLEASE PLEASE if you are thinking of a adoption go there 100's of dogs
Go on to the website and you can get all the information and pictures you need
Call and ask.
NEVER. THEY WILL KILL HIM/ HER
Not sure.. They have to make sure you are a perfect fit!!!
They are very transparent and will interview you. They will not put a dog in harm's way.💙💙💙💙
https://www.chicago.gov/city/en/depts/cacc/provdrs/care/svcs/lost_pet_recovery.html The procedure for looking for lost pets is available on their website. But it also states that they only keep found animals for three viewing days before they are transferred to other rescues and shelters.
I am not Spanish speaking I apologize. But, if u are asking can u trust the dog? Pitbull? Yes, you must be careful and super watchful with children. They are a wonderful breed. I have had many through out the years. Over 42 years and I am currently looking into getting a third dog and it is a pitbull bia CHICAGO ANIMAL CONTROL. They are good with making sure dog goes safely and they offer support if it doesn't work. But it will if you watch them and don't leave child in charge of dog.🤗🙏
I've no idea. You need to speak with them. That's an internal policy matter.
I would call Paws Chicago
Animal cars league would not have ferrets only cats and dogs. Petsmart and Petco would have them
To adopt a dog it is 65 dollars including everything. I adopted my dog from there and as a loving joke I call her "65 dollah Nala".
You have to take it to your own vet. Even If you did get it from there you still can't set an appointment
This is not normal and you should take your can to your Veterinarian.
-Dave tenet 18 years old.- official identification with photograph.-mail confirming address directs public services.-if aquila brings copy of the rental contract. -If you have a pet, bring veterinary records. - all family members must be present. -If you want your pet to meet the new one, talk to a staff member.
Yes but the pup wont have much time if he's sick
Surrender him then go back to get him
Please don't bring him here right now. They are so over loaded. Unless he is adopted in a certain time he will be euthanized. See if you can rehome him
I believe so, yes
Open regular hours, starting at 12pm. I would suggest going a little early, before they open
You can post on www.petharbor.com oh on Facebook group CACC Dog Transfer Team oh, in person.
Go there it don't take long depend on the time you go in the mornings are better they have a lot of animals to choose from free shot and a lot of selection. Good luck.
Don't know. Try calling there main number.
What are you giving up we are looking for a pet
Everyone has to show up but not all at the same time.
I think is 60$
Yes, unfortunately. Call PAWS they have a really affordable program that can help. I got like four animals spayed and neutered by them and it was rather affordable.
Im sorry cant help you if its a dog that was at CACC call and ask maybe.
No
Stop asking for puppies people, that place is a pound. Only dogs and cats that people abandon or lose, and they are all bully breeds. Look up what that means. Still good dogs, just not pure breeds.
Call and ask
No just mostly pitbulls and shepard mix's. Better selection try suburbs different breeds but the dogs at CACC ARE LUVABLE💋🐶💗
What happened?
Take them to this place there they receive them.
If you got general questions,go to City of Chicago.com and click on Animal Care and Control. If you need specifics,i suggest you go there and talk to someone. Otherwise,if you're looking to adopt or looking for a lost pet, petharbor.com/Chicago
Call anti cruelty society maybe they can help i know they do have a clinic there and offer low cost for spayed and neutered and shots program. Not sure about vet care phone first hope kitty feels better
Sorry for your loss. Unfortunately, Animal care and control does not perform autopsies but you can take your dog there where it will be professionally disposed.
How do you know me or my 🐕 dog terry
Call and see
The adoption fee is $65. It took us 3 hours from start to finish. They take time to introduce you to your furry friend to see if you are compatible, let you interact with them and then the paperwork process.
1. By law,in Chicago, you need to vaccinate for rabies and you need to register for a dog license. You need to do this every year. 2. If your dog is picked up as a stray and brought to Animal Control or is involved in an attack and you cannot present a rabies certificate or a dog license, you will be fined by the City. Fines range from $50-$500 and that's not counting if the attack is severe. You can be sued by a person and possibly have your pet confiscated.
65.00 if you can wait, in the beginning of summer and the beginning of winter they have free adoption for all animals.
Don't call, you'll never get through. Go online to CityofChicago.org and look up Animal Care and Control. Once your on that page scroll down till you see Volunteering. It's a very long process to get in but they desperately need volunteers
No. Just straight adoptions and or safe disposal. Everything else u can go thru PAWS at a different location nearby. Check Google for their public contact phone number.
They are all deserving animals no doubt but to be informed is very different! I also would give a huge donation for my brother's dog not dog but pitbull and family member back as you guys AGAIN did not inform him of this when he made his decision bc of quality of life. My problem he was not told that option and when he went back today he was told after the euthanasia that you do not offer this so yeah again why adopt from your organization if you can not keep good homes that you hope these pets go to and want their family members back and as far as donations or volunteer work I have just donated to the all the fire victims and training facility that was just in the current fire and have worked for the humane society for over 6 years in the past, again this is unheard of and the fact he was not even given the information where he went back less than 24 hours and was than told. Ridiculous and also very sad on your part. It would also do your group much needed funds to offer such options
This dept is Not Medicare for pets. Do not get an animal and expect Chicago to help you take care of it. If you can't afford to care for an animal, look up private organizations online. The only thing Chicago Animal Care and Control will do is take responsibility for the animal but you cannot get it back.
The only way the City Kennel comes to your home is and your pet is dead or endangering the public by being aggressive. To give your dog a better chance, please drop the animal off at the department. Hours 8 am-10pm, 7 days a week
You can return and pay a $65 adoption fee, if your pet is still there. As soon as you sign the paperwork, the animal belongs to the city. If a private organization wants to take responsibility for the animal, they can take it immediately. The paper that you signed says the City will determine what is best for the animal.
The city nor this department can give papers to travel. You are going to have to meet with a rescued vet. The doctor is the only one who can give an exam to your pet.
Okay thank you sir have a great day
Thanks you all
Call 311 or 911 n you can stay anonymous please do this immediately it's so sad to hear that or send me the address I will do it myself
https://www.chicago.gov/city/en/depts/cacc/supp_info/low_cost_pet_vaccineclinicdates.html
1.)They adopt one pet for one person only. 2.)If you can't afford to adopt a pet, They Will Not Adopt to you. Animal Control is full with pets that people couldn't afford and they had to give them up. Pets get put to sleep because people dont think about how hard and expensive it is to maintain a pet properly. Save yourself money, time and heartache don't adopt if you can't even pay for it before you enter the building.
Animal control doesn't offer any dental or medical assistance. They are not a vet hospital. You will have to surrender your pet in order to have a vet take a look. If you need medical help for your pet but are not financially stable, check out Private shelters. PAWS, Anti-cruelty Society, Animal Care League and Humane Society of Illinois are just a few organizations that will offer you some sort of help.
Yes. You can check Petharbor.com to see the dogs they have picked up.
They do but only if it's in your corresponding zip code you have to call
Yes
Yes,fees will be waived from Dec 8-15. You will still have to pass the adoption screening, though. Expect long lines on the weekends and dont expect puppies and toy dog breeds.
I am sorry about the passing of your dog. Medvet might be able to take the body tonight. They have a relationship with a cremation facility.
Yes, but be advised, there might be a small chance that your pet might get put to sleep. They try to adopt there and they work with close to 200 private shelters but there's no guarantee. The healthier you pet is and the more social, chances get better. Go there on the weekends between 11-4pm, there's an organization that will speak to you directly and will give you that guarantee but they don't want you to leave your pet at animal control
I own my own house. What do I need to bring if I am a home owner if I need to?
Yes
You have to come in to the shelter to look. There are more than 200 dogs in the shelter each day and the staff is not able to look for your dog for you. You can also do a virtual search on petharbor.com/Chicago but you still need to come in to the shelter to look.
Call 311 and ask them to connect you to the C.A.C.C. because you need to speak with a live person and they will patch you through. I've done this many times myself. It's the only way I know of to speak with anyone there.
I would try to talk to someone at the C.A.C.C. and find out what they have to say. Call 311 (informatio) and ask to be put through to the C.A.C.C. cuz if you just call the number listed for them you won't get to speak to anyone. You need to call 311 and have them connect you, that's the only way to get a live person that I know of.
Probably on Friday
Can you call 311? It is very important to report it.
CACC does not offer spay/neuter appointments to the public at this time, they can only do animals that are in the shelter. PAWS Chicago and the Anti-cruelty Society both have low cost clinics.
You have to sign up to volunteer. The Facebook page should list the next volunteer orientation.
Euthanasia can be done at your veterinarian and kill shelters. I would recommend getting a behavioralist or trainer. The problem can be neurological, behavioral or something the person is doing wrong. If he did not break skin and just snapped then it is a correction the dog gave which means someone did something wrong which then he is not agressive.
Go and let it happen you will love them
CACC accepts owner surrendered dogs from within the city of Chicago. It's a good idea to get ALL your dog's shots updated before you drop them off if you can, including the shots for kennel cough and dog flu.
No. The shelter receives thousands of animals each year and cannot keep all of them. Most no-kill shelters are selective about the animals they accept and will not accept aggressive dogs. CACC accepts animals regardless of behavior or health. Unfortunately some of those animals have to be put to sleep.
You have to go in person to request records. Bring an ID and you may need to do a FOIA request. No information can be given over the phone.
You would need to come in the the shelter and do a FOIA request. The shelter receives thousands of animals each year, it is unlikely that anyone will remember a dog from three years ago.
Usually fee is $65, which includes everything. Some times the adoption fee is waived.
CACC is waiving adoption fees till the end of the month
The have a clinic every month. You must be a chicago resident. The pup must be 4 months old. You can go to PAWS for a parvo vaccine on 36 street . Both agencies have information on website.
Keep it until you find the owner. Put free ad in newspaper for a week saying you're found a. Dog, the caer must identify the dog. Dont put too much description of the dog. Or call Animal Care and Control to come get yhe dog. But if they can't find the owner it may be put down. Or call Anti Cruelty Society on LaSalle St. 773 644 8338 to come get the dog.
You can come in and do a FOIA request to find out what happened to him.
I think they are waiving adoption fees till the end of the month. Please adopt!
No there is not. Leave the pet in car buy front door go in and they will explain what to do.
Yes, if you live within the city of Chicago. There is no fee. If you live outside the city you need to check with your local shelter.
I know you can call 311 and ask them to put you through to Animal control (C.A.C.C.) I have done that many times to get in touch with them. I know it's irritating that their number doesn't give you the ability to speak to anyone. Anyways call 311 and they'll connect you
Yes, they will take your cat in. They are a full acceptance facility. They don't turn any animals away.
Usually you go to the shelter first and find a dog or too that you might be interested in and meet them yourself. Then speak to a volunteer there about setting up a time to introduce your dog to them. Find a dog that has the same or less energy preferably than your current dog.
Contact the shelter
If they need to
You would need to go to animal control and talk to a bite officer for information.
Try animal welfare leauge. There cheap.
4.00 pm
Not at CACC but Anti-cruelty society does accept youth volunteers.
Yes, the shelter accepts owner give up dogs from within the city of Chicago for free.
No, there is no fee to dispose of a deceased pet, but you cannot get ashes back.
I would go to their page on facebook and find the pet's page in the available for adoption section and in the comments ask if they are still available. Somrtimes they dont get back to you for a day though. Otherwise the way I have gotten through is to call 311 and ask them to connect you to speak with someone there.
Yes. They will take the cat during their open hours and if you can bring it in it would be better.
They will put available dogs for adoption out on the adoption floor. Because smaller dogs are more common to own they are more common to be mistreated. Keep updated on CACC Facebook for adoptable dogs and cats.
CACC takes all species, including hamsters. They're not adopted directly from the shelter but are transferred to private not for profit small animal rescues.
Your best bet is to call chicago animal care they could help you.
I'm in Chicago live on south side I heard their places where the shots are free
You have to call. We went one week ago everything was free. Shots nutured rabies everthing
If you have Facebook you can message Friends of Chicago animal care and control. They might have a list. I see random messages on facebook they often need leashes, collars, and always money. You can drop off food there and make monetary donation. The guy at the front desk once told me that they usually feed the cats and dogs Purina. They always need newspapers too. Thanks for asking.
It sound to me that it's something more to this store . The animals may be part of the problem
No, calling 311 is probably your best option.
Can I get free shots here
No. CACC holds vaccine clinics once per month, usually on Wednesday mornings. They do not accept walk ins for shots or microchips. PAWS Chicago has vaccine clinics most days but does require you to make an appointment.
Don't believe so.
The shelter staff is extremely busy. If you are looking for a lost pet, please come in to the shelter to look. There are hundreds of animals in the shelter each day and the staff cannot look for your pet for you or list animals over the phone. Of you want to look at adoptable pets, you need to come in to the shelter. If you need an animal control officer to pick up a stray or lost animal, call 311. You can also see some of the animals that are in the shelter on petharbor.com/chicago
Do a lost pet tour there at chicago animal care and control.
You need a health certificate for your pet. You also can call the USDA who will also let you know what you need for each country.
No you pull to doors leave pet in car go in show ID then they will explain it all to you. Call them they will let you know.
Ya they take walk-in
There's some paperwork, not a lot. The people there are very accommodating.
Chicago Animal Care and Control accepts animals living in Chicago. The shelter is open access and is required to take in Chicago homeless animals. If the rabbits are outside of Chicago city limits, please locate a shelter in that area.
Cacc can assist you in finding a veterinarian but they are not a clinic or have one. You can also go to low cost clinics as others have mentioned paws and the clinic side of Animal Welfare League both have low cost clinics but call and see if you can make an appointment first they tend to be packed. It is important that you do this ASAP as well.
Yes if not friendly
C.A.C.C. is the the Chicago Animal Care and Control center which is on Western Ave. And yes they'll take the cat.
They do put animals down. They try not to. That's why they reach out to various rescue groups and do free adoption days. They take in all cats and dogs so they are always at max. capacity. I've adopted two wonderful dogs from them. I once had to bring in a dog that was unfortunately very aggressive as well as badly injured and they were able to put the dog down.
Call and see if your dogs have been picked up, if not report the lost.
Red Door Animal Shelter in Chicago has rabbits for adoption. CACC transfers their rabbits to Red Door and similar groups.
Call
Chips and spaying and neutering only. But call for name Paws and Feathers is a low cast place
Go down to 2741 South Western and speak to an inspector about it
Do they have any Guinea pigs at this one?
I don't believe so. All their funds go to their animals. Donations are always welcome
If you got the dog from them they should have a copy but they told me I had to go somewhere else to get the copy. But they do have a copy of your receipt. It shows you paid for the rabies shot and when. I had to get that to go to court for my dog.
They take any dog, but it is a kill shelter and is very crowded. You can also take him to the anti cruelty society
An animal that you adopted? Yes you can, although I would strongly suggest speaking to the CRISP program first before you do. They can provide training resources and food and medical help if needed. The program is there 11 to 4 Fridays Saturdays and Sundays. Good luck
You have to drop off your deceased pet before 9:30 pm they are not open 24 hours to the public after 10 p.m. Only CPD can bring an animal in. They open at 7 and they close the public for drop offs at 9: 30 pm. You don't not get the ashes back so if you would like to have the ashes back you would have to go through a private service. I'm sorry for the loss of your pet
No it's 10 bucks to release the dog over
Yes, also Anti Cruelty society does owner euth requests.
Not sure call city of Chicago animal control
Take her to a vet and get her help don't kill her
$65, up to date on shots, spay or neuter plus microchipped
He cant be tied out all day and you must take him when to cold or to hot i have found frozen dogs.
Paws have a clinic in Little Village that offers low cost spay and neuter surgery among other things.
Guidelines to Adopting a Companion Animal : Bring a valid government issued photo ID. If you rent, we must see a copy of your lease or rental agreement or be able to speak to your landlord to confirm that pets are allowed. All family members MUST interact with the companion animal you selected. If you currently or previously owned a pet, you MUST provide vet records showing your ownership. More info including an application on the city's website.
Noon to 7pm every day
A bill
Call. Or just go up there to see. You will most likely have to pay again to get them back. Hurry and do it they might still be there. I pray you get your babies back.
Go to the vet and tell them
Check their website, young dogs are available usually, however baby pups are usually transferred to local rescue.
Its the first or second Wednesday of the month. 8 am to 12 noon. Its a wait, and they want you to buy a city license, which is 50 if your dog is not neutered
Its going to take a few hours to adopt and you do it in person. If you don't have the time to adopt the puppy they will assume you don't have the time to care foe the puppy and deny your adoption.
They take all animals, including wildlife. They have many rescue partners. People have taken wild birds, chickens, and even a confiscated alligator there.
Daily hours are 12-7pm
Go to PAWS on 26th st, just make an appointment, it's cheaper, I take my dogs there.
One or the other. If we take it it becomes our property. Then only a Homeward Bound rescue can pull the cat.
Give them a call, or go in. If your dog has a working microchip, they'll definitely be able to locate her.
You can call 311 ask for animal care and control to remove a dead cat or you can bring it in a box or bag to Chicago Animal Care and Control yourself.
Give 311 a call.
Has she taken her cat to the vet? I would definitely recommend her taking her cat to get checked out for health issues and maybe the vet will have solutions. She needs to have an accessible litter box for the kitty and really get her familiar with it. Put her in the litter box after drinking to let her know that's where she should urinate. First thing tho is to let the vet know and make sure there's nothing wrong with the cat. Afterwards look into litter box training. She clearly didn't get the proper litter box training when she was a baby. Best of luck!
Call CACC, they may do it for a reduced fee or free of charge. Good luck, and sorry about your cat.
You have to go to Paws Chicago on 26 th st. Call them first.
You will have to bring it to anjmal care and control or have them pick it up.
I'd recommend two things perhaps contacting a veterinarian to make sure there's nothing wrong with the dog medically and then perhaps a dog behaviorist that specializes in dog training. They will know why this is happening.
I dont know, but they dont let you be with the dog, and may make your dog nervous not to see you there.
You can as long as you give them your ID. Be prepared to be there a while.
The "free" is when a kind individual pays the adoption fee, even then it isn't really free.
Oh, ok.
Is there another dog you're interested in?
I doubt that they just give cats away for poops and giggles, specially when there are so many sick people out there, just adopt if you really want a tiny furball.
You may ask them, and or look into their website page for more information.
If your mom brings her in, in most cases that would not matter since they look at the house owner, and get their permission, maybe do more for the dog, i.g walking, picking up after it poops, bathe the pup, schedule feeding time, etc, to at least show that you really want to keep the pup, and that you're responsible enough to look after the furball. Good luck.
There are groups that pull dogs for foster. These would be approved groups that would decide if you would provide a safe, caring home until the dog/cat is placed in their "forever home." The rescue groups typically pays the adoption fee, but you would not be keeping the animal as a pet. If you are looking to adopt an animal as your own, you will be charged a small adoption fee. This ensures that you are serious about the commitment and can provide the dog with food and proper veterinary care. If you cannot afford these costs, a rescue group may be able to help while you temporarily foster an animal (again, different than adoption). Hope this helps!
Cacc does not have 24 hr. drop off.
No, open admission.
I don't work there, but have tried to adopt a med/small dog, and it varies, other than that, at most they have big dogs, and maybe a couple medium dogs, at least from when I went, why not just drop by 🤗
