First time flying out of SMF in a very long time. On a short business trip for a couple of days, so I parked in one of the economy lots called Daily Lot A for $12/day (there are economy east and west lots for $10/day as well). I was told by bus driver David on the way in, that lot A is the best but park towards row 21L so youβll be first for bus pick up and first for drop off. Great start! Upon my return on a Thursday around 6:45pm, there was no bus for 40 minutes due to change in shifts, I was told. There were so many buses for east and west lots that came and went, as well as rental car shuttles during the 40 minute wait. Around 10 people walked to their cars, while the rest of us waited. It was not a good first experience with SMF, the only international airport for the capital city of California.

Not really needed to reserve. Check in and check out, this is all what you need to do. Enjoy your trip.
for two days
There are pay stations at the garage/terminal entrance and at the garage exit. You pay by first inserting your ticket which you get when you enter, and then your credit card, when you leave. The price is based on how long you have been parked. $18 for each day or $2 for each hour if less than 9 hours. The system also checks your license plate against the ticket, FYI.
As many as you want to pay for
As you approach, you will see signs that direct you to long term.
