The people behind the window deal with all sorts of personalities everyday. Now let's be real,truckers are going thru a lot...they are already stressed and usally bu the time they get to the person at the window,they are thinking...get my load,get the hell out of here.what ever reason the person has to deliver the bad news,load still in field, wrong p/u #.what ever...these are not there fault,yet the stressed driver jumps on them,being a complete idiot...the person behind the counter has to take there verbal abuse or loose there job.so those who do love there job learn to be thick skinned and they are just reacting to each individual as the individual reacts to them. I have been greeted with rudeness many times, but I try to put myself in that person's shoes,ex: car wouldn't start,late for work,argument with spouse,sick child at home..they are stressed also but cant say anything. So over a period of time they become calloused..always rember the golden rule, works everytime...
