This is a beautiful group of humans, both paid and volunteer, that are doing so much for animals that need help. The facility is well managed and organized. We are so lucky to have a group like this in our area.

Wanted to adopt a dog had application approved there & others places too. Have had a dog prior so I know about dogs. We have a good ckean home retired & would give dog plenty of attention & walks etc. I got denied on first dog with no met & greet. Second dog got a met & greet in a corner of a room being observed by spca worker how we interacted with dog. They told me another family wanted him too would let me know their decision that night or by noon next day. Well I never heard from them so I called at 1 o'clock to be told the dog picked the other family. I felt the met & greet went well but I guess its the dogs decision !! I think the whole thing was shady I feel they must have already made up their minds maybe for a younger family!. Went to SPCA in Auburn & we now have a sweet little dog !!

They are so overworked but do an amazing job!
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
Tey the cat coalition check out their fb page. Someone on their may be interested or able to foster!
I'm sure they would be very grateful for that. How very kind of you to think of them.
Thank you i will see if i can find it on fb...its called freepets in upstate NY..thank u for all the tips
This is not the SPCA site. cnyspca.org
Yes it is. They need monetary gifts now. Some of the kittens need medical help. Their close this week to care for them.
You have to fill out an application, then both of you have to meet the dog. They have a couple of small dogs right now. The rest of the process can be explained at the shelter. They are closed on Tuesdays and Sundays.
I agree just take her to the SPCA they will know what to do from thereit's a shame that you have a one-year-old that you can't keep
I've tried getting the cat coalition and CNY SNAP to help me find foster homes. No one has room for them. And I can't foster right now. If I can't find foster homes they will have to stay at the farm. I know its not safe for them but there isn't anything else I can do.
Don't believe they charge for the cat.
Feel free to donate items to our organization The Kia Foundation Inc. Thanks
I will ask around
Cat Coalition is excellent. I equally like CNY SPCA. Both are very helpful.
They do not take sheets and towels and blankets must not be ripped or stained.
This is not the SPCA you need to call them.
Call them and explain you took in strays but your dog in not being cat friendly
This is not a kill shelter for space. Dogs are kept as long as it takes to be adopted out. From what I have been told they will only put down an animal that is so vicious it is a danger to people and other animals and can not be rehabbed. Also only if is so ill that it can't be helped and has no quality of life. They are very caring towards thier animal charges and do everything in thier power to get the right match for animal and adopter.
To be honest. When I worked I never heard of an officer or rescue from aspca go to a place to grab a pregnant cat. But things mite have changed. If she's still pregnant and you're able to get her I'd say bring her in but they will charge you a fee. I'd say call them and tell them you have a very sick cat with bad bloating or seems starved and that mite help. Use to get cat calls all the time but something has to seem bad enough for them to check out the cat.. I know it sux how shelters do so much but give them a call and tell them you're vary concerned. Hope this helps.
All cats adopted from them come spayed/nuetered and up to date on shots
Can I drop my dog off here I currently can't find the time to take care of him loves kids but it's too much it was giving to me so I barely know alot about him I believe he is 7-8 months
I HAVE BLANKETS AND COMFORTERS I WOULD LIKE TO DONATE IS THERE A LOCATION AND TIME I CAN BRING THEM
After 10 am. And call them first
The SPCA accepts dogs without appointment during their working hours
Im sorry im not sure
I believe the CNY SPCA has a low cost spay and neuter program they open at 10 am if you want to give them a call . Look up SANS also and contact them. Hope this helps & thank you for being a responsible pet parent and getting your dog spayed. There are to many dogs dumped because of irresponsible people.
Sorry I don't know. Call them I'm sure they will be glad to give you that information
Tnr is trap nueter release you can ask the cat coalition to help you trap and they have free nuetering clinics at certain dates look online and ask the cat coalition
You will have to call them I don't know.
No
Contact CNY SPCA
I am not with the SPCA but you can Google low cost spray & neuter programs. Also call several vets for pricing and see if they are associated with any foundations which help off set costs. Due to their age I would personally not wait to long to neuter as it is time for females to go into heat and your dogs may try to escape also males tend to get aggressive in adolescence when not neutered. Hope this helps.
I would call and ask.
This is not the SPCA if you have a donation just bring it down to Malloy rd . they take blankets and towels but not sheets. They can be used but not ripped or stained. I believe they also post a wish list on their CNYSPCA website. I'm sure your donation would be appreciated 🐾
I would say most do. I am unsure which one is most in need but wanted to say very nice gesture.
I think that is what they could help with.
What kind of help are you looking for?
This is not the SPCA you will have to phone them directly or go there and apply. They are on Malloy road.
Right now, we don't have any young kittens available. They would need to be at least 2 pounds and fixed before they are able to go home. That being said, most kittens are at least 3 months old before they are able to be adopted here.
Go to this page of the website to see dogs who are currently available for adoption. http://www.cnyspca.org/adopt-a-dog/
This is not the SPCA you would have to call them .
I believe Monday they will be ready.
Wednesday at 10 am
Correction. Wednesday at 10 am.
The rome humane society does for a donation i gave 20 when i had to do it
They were persian mix
You would have to call the CNYSPCA
I'm not sure. But a quick call might help
I was wondering if you are taking in cats I have a long haired black and brown patch Male fixed cat he is lovable me and my family are mov and we cant take him with us and I don't wanna drop him off at a shelter and him sitting in a cage please or if you know anyone who is willing to take in a adult Male cat please let me know thank you
I am not sure
Cat coalition ? Or human assocation?
Not right now.
If you leave a dog, obviously theres nothing they can do. But you can sign your rights over to them and they will most likely take your dog if they need to.
If for adoption yes. If fot any other reason I dont know.
We have adopted 2 now & they weren't litter trained. They are very easily trainable tho. Good luck.
Call & ask, not sure...
I believe so. There is a prescreening for volunteers. So let them know on application
Get a hold of the Cat Coalition, they do spays, neuters, shots & flea meds cheap. Cat zcoalition of Syracuse
Wow you people are so sad for the name calling it's unnecessary. At least she came her to wanting her dog to be in the best situation possible. I'm have the same issues with my 11 yr old pitbull (whom I had since he was 12 weeks). My Luke has never been caged, lived outside, chained or abused. I'm scared to death that if someone gets him he would be abused or mistreated the other pups from the liter he came from which is no longer living due to cruelty. The new place I'm moving in tried to help me, to get him turned into a companion dog so I could keep him, my orthopaedic doctor did not fill out the forms. So mad, qualify for a handicap parking and shots in my knees and back to walk but no companion dog letter. My dog is over 38 lbs and is a pitbull so the apartment will not allow him. They said the letter would overrule all obstacle for my pitbull to live with me. I cry everyday because it's getting closer for me to move and I want him with me. Any suggestions?
I would call the local shelters in your area and ask if they currently have that breed available for adoption. If not perhaps you can ask to be called when one comes in. Good luck!
You should they will take good care of the dog. I volunteer and it is a very nice place and the people are great!
What kind of dog
In most cases there is a small fee. Helps cover costs of neautering, spaying, shots, room and board.
To me. What kind of puppy is it? And the age
They don't usually have many birds but it's worth calling
Always best to contact them directly. I know that they do have birds there.
Like stephanie said this isnt their website, this is google, you have to call them. Should try to find another owner instead though, better for the animal...
Not that I am aware of. The VCA animal hospital in lyncourt it's pretty cheap
Now until November 8th the fees ate waived. After the 8th, adoption fees are $50.
You can see them on their website
Call the spca directly for information on adoption and fostering
Deterrent sprays are non toxic and safe
Look on the spca website for available dogs up for adoption
You can but they charge a fee. Im not sure what the amount is but you could call and find out.
Spca
I don't work there, but if you fill out an application there, you can specify when you can volunteer. I believe you can go whenever.
Take her to the spca with a $50 rehoming fee
Once a month they give out a 5lb bag of cat food call them to see when cat food donations are available
I'd try Looking up a place that won't Euthanize them so do some research also call around ask if anyone is in need of one
I am sure you don't need to pay $50 for a cage, if so you can donate it to salvation army better
