Great museum to take the kids to. Lots of interactive exhibits.

The building has been completely redone. The last time I was ln there it was the national Guard armory. The things on ďisplay are mostly all hands on. The grandkids all had fun, they were aged from 1&1/2 to 14 years old. The favorite thing for the kids was the foam blocks.

We are members of the MOST and come several times a year. That's enough to pay for the membership, but it's also an affiliate museum so we can go to over 300 other museums for free. The staff is always pleasant and the exhibits, although smaller than much larger cities, they're very nice for our young kids. The revamped dome movie theater is awesome and gives the intensity of movement. The content is both entertaining and educational for young and old alike. The museum isn't usually very busy, although the downstairs sees more activity than the upstairs. And the play area is better than many indoor playgrounds. I would have to take a star because their promotions, albeit made for drawing in newcomers, are a little overstated. The exhibits upstairs need some refreshments and the balls for the play area were removed leaving the hydraulic ball blasters pointless (although it could be that they were removed for the sake of those who are afraid of germs due to the recent events). They were foam balls and the kids and adults truly enjoyed them. Please bring them back OR make some upgrades. The upstairs hasn't changed much except for a floor game of the planets. There should be as many things for all ages all over, not just things that check boxes. More people should present activities and there could be a way to imitate careers within the play area, such as building blocks can have example diagrams. TLDR - Great value. Nice staff. Small, but kid friendly exhibits. Very enjoyable play areas. Needs a few upgrades, but the theater is on point.

Had a great time with my grandson. However several of the exhibits were not working or broken to the point of disrepair. Little disappointed with these things being that this place is geared for kids and the price to get in you'd think the exhibits would be operating properly

Yes. There's a bunch of fun interactive exhibits and they have a HUGE vertical play area. I have three kids, the oldest is 5 and we've been bringing him to the MOST since he was about 2, he loves it.
An armory, that's where the name armory square comes from.
Yes, you absolutely can. You can also order food right to the Museum if you would like.
There is a lunch area, you used to be able to bring your own also
General admission is $12 ($10 for children 2 to 11 and seniors 65 and older) Combo ticket (IMAX movie plus general admission) is $20 ($16 for children 2 to 11 and seniors 65 and older) Planetarium presentations cost $2 a person Members get free general admission and planetarium presentations, and the child price for IMAX movies from ages 2 to 17
I'm not sure. Best to leave pets at home
I felt a lot of things were just a little too much for my one year old. But there is a toddler area. 3-12 I'd say are the best ages for this place
No they don't but you can bring your own
I'm not from the area so I have no idea what is the norm for them as far as activities. However, when my Son and I visited all the displays were accessible. Of course there is still social distancing recommended. A Great little science museum and the staff is very kind and helpful.
I brought my daughter at 2! There is so much to do, see and enjoy for all ages!
9 or 12 ?
None really. The play area would be too dangerous imo, due to the exuberance of the kids.
No
Museum of the Earth in Ithaca. But even within 90 miles some have reciprocal deals with each other.
Exhibit admission for non-members is $12 per adult and $10 per child (2-11) or senior (65+)
$6 kids- $9 Adults and if you have a benefit card $1 kids $2 Adults from what I remember :)
For just the general admission adults are $12 and kids and seniors are $10.. But if your looking to do the planetarium and/or the imax then thats extra
12 bucks it's deffintly worth it. This place has a lot of hands on exhibits. There is a laser maze and space ride. Might want to bring some extra money.
Yes, we did. There are vending machines, too
They used to, policies change so best to call
