Great group of folks that meet here every morning to play pickleball. Thank you to everyone who gave me and my wife the space & time to learn how to play the game. We did think it was a little strange that this was the only Park in Santa Barbara that kept a gatekeeper out front to collect a fee. City of Santa Barbara you are better than that. But nonetheless the group of people of pickleball players there are the best. See you all next July.

Wonderful facility for tennis and pickleball

Nice facility with 8 tennis courts and 12 dedicated pickleball courts all individually fenced. Three tennis courts have lights, none of the pickleball courts have lights. Tennis cost is $8 a day to play or buy a annual pass. Pickleball is $5 a day or an annual pass is about $70. Front gate opens at 8am everyday.

Questions & Answers

Are there lights that we can turn on to play after sunset?

There are a couple of tennis courts with lights that will come on on their own. None of the pickleball courts have lights. Pershing park has lights on all 8 of their courts. The last tennis court is lined for 3 pickleball courts. You need to bring your own pickleball net to play there.

Tried out pickle ball and really enjoyed it. Is there any courts in Santa Barbara?

Pickleball is fun and addicting. The are 12 dedicated (Nets are up all the time) pickleball courts at the municipal tennis center. Those courts do not have lights. We play everyday from about 8am to noon. But you can come down anytime. If you don't have a city pickleball pass the daily fee is $5. We have extra paddles and balls to loan out while you play.
