Had a great trip to Seattle exceeded my expectations, so beautiful. Feeling like I missed so much of it, I would go back.

Took Argosy cruise from the terminal. It was great. The pier itself has a lot of activities. Ferris wheel, wings of Washington (must try) and many cafes and shops. Beautiful place to stroll around.

A lot of things to do on the pier, apart from just the ferris wheel. There's a restaurant and what seems to be an amusement park ride within. Very popular area to be near the water.

Such a fun place to visit in Seattle! The views were great! Fun little souvenir shops. Take the Harbor Cruise! A really great way to see the city and learn a little bit about the city itself

The best lot around there is the parking garage complex that houses Okinawa Teriyaki. If anyone is going near the Space Needle the Bill and Melinda Gates Center has similar style parking. I say support businesses that have a better/friendly model for customers. Those two garage charge for parking by the hour and you pay as you exit. For mostly all other lots around there you pay before hand.. guessing how long you will be will have you paying less and perhaps being ticketed or towed. Paying too much well is something you probably don't want to do as well. Street parking is super cheap but the spots are super hard to find and only food for 2 hours. The best way to go for multiple day tourist visits is to find places to park around the city and take a bus or light rail in to the area. You can buy transit passes that will last a week long.
I'm not quite sure if that's where we went but look up sailingseattle.com we went on a 1.5 hour sunset sail that was second to none... and only $39 I believe. I think there were 12 of us and everyone was spaced out safely. I give it a 9/10.
Not specific to the pier but there are paid public parking lots across Alaskan Way along most of the waterfront.
If you're not adverse to walking a bit, there's a few parking garages within 1.5 - 2km of Pier 55 that are cheaper than parking at the pier directly. You can check on and around Pike and Pine streets and 3rd avenue and beyond.
We usually take the bus into Seattle and back, ride sharing can help get around while downtown.
No it was not. It first tenant was Arlington dock co.
