I've been going in there since the Levine's open the front door. I folded boxes when I was 8 years old back in the fifties. Norman used to bet numbers with my father. It was always wonderful to see Joe and Lefty throughout the years. When Mr and Mrs Levine passed away. I became friends with their son Al. And begged him to never change a thing. I went through there franchise stage that failed miserably. I've eaten Pizza in some of the best joints in New York Philly and New Jersey. And nobody could top Mario's. They also had without question the best steak and cheese in the world. The Mario's special which was a cold cut Italian sub is no longer available. I'm now reside in Boston, but when I'm down there Mario's was always the first stop after leaving the airport. I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I have been the last few times I've been down there. It has gone from the best pizza house in the Washington metropolitan area to just another below average joint. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. It like losing a life long friend that provided a thousand beautiful memories.

Been a staple and hometime favorite. Havent been in awhile til recently. Loved the renovations and enjoyed the food. Pricey but luckily we both wanted the same thing and just split an order happily. Will be back of course. This is home.

Wow! No cheese on a steak and cheese. This place has gone way to far down hill. I grew up with this place and now I'm not going to attend this dump after numerous trials of trying to see if it's just certain workers making food or its the new way. Not to mention pay the ridiculous amount for something of that hasn't honestly been any good for a while now.... Thanks for the childhood memories but maybe it's time for you to close
