I would have given it a 5 star. I’ll start with the bad. I didn’t like that I was waiting more than I should have over either a mistake or workers being biased. I went in for a new phone, I was put on the list to get help from an apple employee. As time was passing by, I was seeing people get helped that came in after me. I made the assumption that they made an appointment online, fine. Almost 40 minutes pass by and no employee came and asked if I need help and you can tell they had time to do so. It wasn’t until after 40-45 that someone came up to me and I had to make sure that I got pushed in front of all the newcomers and he did find my name on the list.. so that raised a lot of questions. Other than that, the apple employee who helped me set up the new phone and everything was amazing. She was helpful and knowledgeable all the way through.

Super friendly and professional staff! Austin took care of me, my purchase and all my data for 5 hours! He helped me with everything I needed before, during and after purchasing my new iPhone!
Definitely the best customer service ever!!

Apple store no different from most. This space is less architecturally interesting than other NYC stores, but the retail space and service are similar enough. I found the staff quick and eager to help. However, the wait time for a genius bar appointment can be long.

walked in order to buy a new Apple Watch and as usual apple never disappoints. Costumer service is outstanding and I’ve been able to complete my purchase having all my questions answered with professionalism. I recommend this store.
You can make an appointment on the internet or phone and take your data and they can tell you the time and time it takes to get the backup, so you do not waste time in aser row
Technically you have to make an appointment, but the door security may let you in and direct you straight to the retail counter, where someone will bring the mouse to you for purchase
@Hernan - are you saying you need a copy of the receipt to take the phone to a store in Argentina? Did you initially not request to have a copy emailed? If not reach out to Apple customer service.

Check in their website. The rules change often because of corona now.
The latest iphones are sold out. It's best to find availability online and then schedule a pick up. If you also just want to go take a look at the phone I'd recommend scheduling an appointment or you may end up waiting in line for over an hour

So far as I know, you can only personalize your purchase when you buy it online. You may return the Airpods and but it online anew to get it personalized.
I found somebody's iPhone on the street last night (West Village). If I deliver the phone to the 14th St. Apple Store, can Apple figure out who the owner is and contact that person? I want to do the right thing. -- BJS
Won't be done same day, you'd have to back phone up and drop of with them for a day or two, or how long it takes for them to get the needed parts go fix.
If the problem originated from u, that might be a charge for u, if not probably you won't charge for anything.. They are making a chack up to phone or iPad in there to understand the problem and who caused it...

No you do not need an appointment to buy an iPhone, but if you do not know how to work it you may need to make an appointment to come back to learn... Or to receive help or instructions...
You can call for appointment. Stop in at the store for appointment or you can make a appointment online. But they will not service you if you do not make a appointment
There is a chance you won't get charged. I know a few people that have returned items without headphones or chargers. Be extremely personable and see how it goes.
